Must say well done Punter.

Good Leadership in this series.

I was critical earlier on but he has done well undermanned.

Kudos Punter.

Anyone remember the Craig McDermott at #3 experiment?

Leave Johnson in the lower order.

There is a difference between can bat and can open the batting for Australia. Besides if he is going to bowl that would be the worst situation of all.

Still i think we can use his hitting a bit more, he can be used as a floater in the order if we are going well send him in to keep it going.

Leave Johnson in the lower order.

I do but we were pretty desperate back then (and I'm pretty sure he opened), and the poms tried Beefy at 1 and it didn't work either and Beefy could bat

if Notch is not gonna play there permanently, whats the point in experimenting with him

if it aint broke dont fix it

Looks like Johnson will be rested from the last match anyhow which is the best move IMO.

Finally somebody sees sense... Johnson would open to get quick runs not bat 50 overs. If Johnson batted till the 15th over we would be well on our way t0 300.

So basically he'd do what Watson does, but not as well and not hanging around for as long? No thanks....maybe float him up to the lower middle order, but he is not an opener any more than Ian Harvey was. Or James Hopes. Why revisit the experiment?

No chance of play for the first 2.5 hrs

Umpires going to check the ground (as its quite damp) at 5pm local time (10.30pm AEST)

Not looking good, the players probably got the cards out
