Are you serious dude? Thats because hes plays basically as a second centre on that side of the field.
Maubs has made 100+ metres TWICE this season. Compare that to Thaiday who has done it 14 times.
You're seriously missing a chromosome or two if you think Maubs is a better forward than Thaiday.
I'm a Roosters fan, and although I don't think Aubusson is better than Thaiday per se, you can't criticize him for not making yards. Aubusson is a carbon-copy of the Steve Menzies/Darren Smith style of player. His primary assets are his mobility in defence, and his ability to inject himself at the right times to break the line. He is too small to be a go-forward type of player.
To put it in perspective, would you say that Glenn Stewart is a better player than Steve Menzies, because Stewart makes more yards than him? Probably not, because they simply have different roles in the team.
Thaidays roles:
- big yardage
- tackle breaking
- offloads
Aubussons roles:
- cover defence
- linebreaking
- extra pace in the forwards
It isn't as black and white as both of you are making it out to be, and defining 'better' isn't always easy. You need to look at the player in terms of their role in the team.
At the moment, I would be rating Anthony Tupou, for example, at 5/10 because everyone knows his best assets are his ballplaying ability, offloads and linebreaking, but he is struggling with all of them. I would say the same if Gallen lost his workrate, or if Aubusson lost his linebreaking ability.
Comprende?
