No new injuries expected for Liverpool game
Liverpool v Arsenal
Barclays Premier League
Anfield
Sun, Oct 28, 2007, 4pm
By Richard Clarke

Arsenal have no new injuries ahead of the trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

Robin van Persie (knee) and Philippe Senderos (back) are both still absent. The duo picked up their injuries on international duty a fortnight ago and are considered to be on course for their expected returns.

In the case of the Van Persie that should another three to five weeks. Speaking to Arsenal TV Online last Thursday, manager Arsène Wenger estimated the injury to Senderos would be sorted in a fortnight so he should be nearing a return to the squad.

Arsenal.com will carry more detailed injury news on Friday.

Senderos can f**k off too.

:fist: Senderos is good!

theres no point in buying Richards anyway, he would cost too much, and at right back we already have Sagna, hoyte and eboue not to mention diarra aswell..

tbh i would love to see micah richards in arsenal colours in the future..

Lehmann is (along with bergkamp and parlour) one of my alltime favourite arsenal players, but he's not doing the team any favours disrespecting almunia

if we were to bring in another goalkeeper i would be praying for this man..

its jussi jaaskelainen!

we shall have to agree to disagree about Senderos, i like him and have no problems with having him in the side..

richards can play those 3 positions but we already have them filled.. our midfield is one place we dont need to stregthen

Activity in January I'd like to see:

Out:
Lehman

In:
Akinfeev/Green
Richards
Not happening.
Richards won't leave the Blues for at least another three seasons after this one.

City (and Micah) won't make the same mistakes as we did with Wright-Phillips. We don't need the cash anymore. And unlike SWP, he's now part of a squad that will play in Europe.

I don't think that he'd want to leave the Blues for a while either, but I'd love it if he came to Emirates. He is one of the best defenders in the Premier League at the moment.

I think we ever do need an attacking midfielder I think we should go after this guy.

Richards, will never happen. Will cost way to much and we don't need him anyway.

Sendeross, whilst he lacks some pace, he is a good defender. He is still young and he reads the game well. Can't agree that he is cr*p, I'm with phillips on that one.

Why Slavia win was not perfection to Wenger
Arsenal 7-0 Slavia Prague
Champions League Group Stage
Arsenal Stadium
Tue, Oct 23, 2007, 7.45pm
By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger was not entirely happy with the 7-0 drubbing of Slavia Prague in midweek.

Goals rained down on Emirates Stadium on Tuesday as Arsenal put the shell-shocked Czech side to the sword. Despite being pleased with the scoreline, the manager watched highlights of the game when he got home that night and saw a re-run of the whole game the next day.

“No it wasn’t perfect,” said the 58-year-old on Friday. “OK it is if you look at the result but I watched it again and you can see we missed some passes and some balls. No game is perfect but some of our goals were that night.”

When asked to specify which, the manager replied: “The fourth, fifth ,sixth and maybe the seventh.”

I think Sendo is a great defender.

It's just his reading of the game and his speed which is lacking.

I still rate Djourou higher.

Yeah me too. Some regular first team action should make him a better player for us in the future.

I know Richards won't come. Wenger won't spend that much. We don't need him but I still drool at the thought of Richards in THE red and white!

Pasha is a slow hack!

But he can read the game very well and is an excellent tackler. I rate Dojorou higher but would like to keep Pasha as well.

As for keepers:

Jussi Jaskelainen (sp?) = OLD - Don't want him
Igor Akinfeev = SOON TO BE THE BEST KEEPER IN THE WORLD - Would kill Macca for him! (sorry mate)
Robert Green = MOST UNDERRATED KEEPER ATM - Would kill Stoney for him (sorry mate)
Francis Guillermio Ochoa = A POTENTIAL SUPERSTAR - He's great in FM07, great in real life but I have a twitching feeling he'll fail at the final hurdle.
