SPURS FAN KITSON COMMITS `BLASPHEMY`
Posted 13/11/07 14:30
Reading striker and Tottenham fan Dave Kitson admits that Arsenal are the "best team on the planet right now".
Kitson even admits - though he concedes that it's 'blasphemy' - that he hopes the Gunners win trophies because they play the best football.
He was part of the Royals' side who were totally outplayed by Arsenal on Monday night.
"They are the best team on the planet right now," Kitson told the Evening Standard.
"It's absolutely phenomenal stuff and unbelievably difficult to play against. You just have to take your hat off to them.
"Arsene Wenger must be licking his lips because there is just silverware here on in for Arsenal to be honest.
"Trying to get near Fabregas, Hleb and Rosicky is a tough ask. The thing that amazes you most is they are not just passing to each other - they are passing so that the other person can run on to the ball and then his mind is made up with what he is going to do next. It will be close at the end of the season and that's what everyone wants to see.
"Even for a Tottenham fan to say this is blasphemy but you hope that a team who play as well as Arsenal win something.
"And that approach is then justified because it is pure magic. When that money came in from Barcelona for Henry, Wenger must have been looking at it and at Adebayor and thinking it was Christmas.
"These kids he has coming through are all unbelievable.
"Just looking at Adebayor as a technician and as a player, that is what every striker should aspire to. He is just fantastic."
ROSICKY GOING NOWHERE - AGENT
Posted 13/11/07 11:21
Tomas Rosicky's agent has denied that the player is in line for a move to Internazionale.
The Czech star has been linked with a possible switch to Italy in January - but Pavel Paska has dismissed such a suggestion.
He confirmed that Inter tried to sign Rosicky in 2005, and also last year before Arsenal landed him from Borussia Dortmund.
But he now says there is no chance of the 27-year-old leaving North London anytime soon.
"I am ruling out this option," Paska told Sport.
"Inter wanted Tomas two years ago, something happened also a year ago.
"But to say now, this winter he could move there? No, that is absolutely untrue."
