When Souths got kicked out, I point blank refused to support a team. If they stopped existing tomorrow, I would still watch Footy, but I wouldn't support a team. People who turn coat over Footy teams amaze me. I just don't understand it. Actually, come to think of it, perhaps they are the ones who just don't understand it. You don't pick your team, they pick you and thats the end of that. No second chances, no changing from one to the other. Born the supporter of a certain team, die a supporter of that team. /Rant.

Most of the time I completely agree with this.

However: I think of all the Titans fans and wonder how many of them used to support the broncos before they got their own team. In all honesty, if the NRL decided to add another New Zealand franchise and base it in Wellington (where I'm from) I'd probably start supporting them (with the warriors as my second team) because that's where I've lived for 21 years of my life. I support the warriors because they're the only New Zealand team in the comp, but they're ultimately an Auckland team, just like the Brisbane Broncos are a Brisbane team and not a gold coast team. I think in many cases being a turncoat is f**king lame, but I think it is possible to have a genuine reason for doing it. I guess that's me though, I can't support a team I have no connection to. The Warriors are a New Zealand team that's based in Auckland but they'd be an Auckland team if the Orcas ever got in to the NRL.

That being said, if the warriors were booted I probably wouldn't support anyone either. Can't really think of any other clubs i'd want to support.
