I've got about 6 packs of maggi noodles, 4 slices of bread, some tomato paste, a small amount of grated cheese, 1 bowl of pasta, 2 bottles of cordial, 1 bottle of possibly expired milk.

Exactly. Very correct decision, and Kewell should have known better than to have his arms out when on the goal line.

But it won't stop the overly patriotic and deluded from having a big whinge...
It just sucks that Australia cannot keep 11 men on the field for more than 20 minutes of a game, and it is our best players which are being sent off.

On that decision, from what I remember, Kewell did not have his arms out and the ball hit his shoulder. Apparently this by extension makes it a handball, but the commentators thought it was a dud decision to send him off for it.

the commentators should know the rules, unless his arms were touching his sides they are extended

in front of the box that is a red, different rules if it was outside the box

I completely understand, it's their equivalent of a professional foul, but what really sucks about the sport at that level (among several other things) is that the team sort of has no hope when they are down a man - Germany the other day is a prime example. But if they're the rules, than they are the the rules for everyone. Which really makes that sort of decision something only people who aren't real soccer fans can cry about. That said, Kewell had a cry about it

Recreationally soccer is okay, because there are little to no penalties no matter what you do (the only thing you would really penalise is a hand ball - below the elbow), but as a professional sport it sucks

What a load of horse sh*t.

Red card in the goal mouth IF it's deliberate. I had no problem with a penalty and even a yellow but a red card for something that clearly was not intentional was complete rubbish

The red card to Kewell was a complete and utter disgrace. It was a yellow card offence and a penalty, but the bloke didn't even know where the ball was until it struck him. Anyone else who thinks it was a red card offence is kidding themselves.

Also, the fact Ghana finished the match with 11 was another injustice. The sliding tackle, with the studs showing from their midfielder, from behind, is ALWAYS a red-card offence. Cahill got sent off for something not even as bad.

 Flailed around? No idea.

We're not denying the fact Ghana got the penalty - because we KNOW it was a penalty. We're saying it WASN'T a red-card offence. Which camera angle gives evidence that it was deliberate? The one where Kewell's eyes are closed?

Having watched a number of replays, it looks very clear to me he was attempting to chest the ball... which would indicate it was not a deliberate act.
