This. I was never really someone who cared about him until after his death (a product of my parents attitudes probably) but once you stop and listen, or see just one of his dances, you can't get enough.

I think I love you, man.

I always loved MJ's music and his dancing was unbelievable. But the way he died was just such a shock - straight out of left field.

And his contributions to society were enormous - not just because he is, IMO, one of the greatest entertainers ever, but what he contributed to fashion and charities all around the world.

I love you, MJ. You were the man.

Yeah it's probably too hard to just chose one. Just off the top of my head:

Liberian Girl
Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough
The Way You Make Me Feel
Speed Demon
Get On The Floor
Smooth Criminal

Out of his live performances probably Rock With You or Human Nature from the '80s. It's like watching God in motion

Yes!

I remember watching "This Is It" and being in awe of his humility - he didn't have this "diva" mentality that a lot of other stars have, and he is arguably the biggest star of all.

That, and the effort he was putting into these concerts...They were going to be simply mind-blowing.

Yeah, the concerts would have been out of this world. He's the greatest live entertainer of all time bar none IMO. He made other artists look like complete amateurs on stage

That movie any good?

"This Is It"? IMO, yes, it is. It's a really fascinating look at just how much effort Michael Jackson was putting into his farewell tour, and just how talented he really was.

Plus like I said, I was amazed at how he interacted with his back-up cast - very humble and polite. And this is MJ we're talking about. The biggest megastar on the planet.

I would have moved heaven and hell to go to his concert.

Totally agree.

And it's simply amazes me how he could write lyrics and music without any "formal" training. Other artists spend years trying to do that and fail.

Yeah, I love listening to his early demo tapes from Billie Jean, Beat It, Don't Stop etc. It just shows you how little producers did with his mega hits... 28 years on and songs from Thriller sound as fresh as ever

For a second there, I wasn't sure if that was a microphone in MJ's hand, or... :sarcasm:
