Been to the Bridge of Angels or Caste d'Angelo DK?
My favourite spot overseas by far. It was just gorgeous. And we were told about how while crossing it, it symbolised all the parts of the crusification and so, you were dying with Christ. Then you see the Angel of Death, Michael, at the end, and then you turn and walk into St Peter's which is symbolising Heaven

yeap, and i had read it before i went overseas, but at the time i didn't put the two together.
Im googling my ass off trying to find someone that can summarise the story i put above, because i just adored it, but it's nowhere to be found. Our tour guide was an American who moved to Rome to be closer to the history that he loved. It must have been a local story...

Yeah, looks sweet.

I want to go to Pompeii and Herculaneum too. Probably not as exciting visually but it's one of the closest places you can go to ancient history itself.

If ever you wish to be impressed by history, go to Stockholm and visit the Vasa Museum, where you will see this-

vasa_500.jpg

A Swedish Warship which sank in 1628 on its maiden voyage. It was dredged out of Stockholm harbour in 1961 in pristine condition.

It is a marvel of the world and one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. The sails are still partially intact and they even have the bones of the crew on display.

Awesome awesome awesome.
