I agree. Backs to the wall stuff. Been following them and cheering them on for fifty years and can't stop now.
I'm with you whatever.

Go the mighties!!!

No prouder of the boys than today. That was one of the greatest wins I have witnessed ever. Everyone said we had no hope. The talk last week was who the Broncos were playing next week. It was a foregone conclusion they would win. As I said backs to the wall stuff. Trouble was noone told the boys. Awesome.

i am fully aware of the shortcomings of our side and their mentor , their excruciatingly bad form over the last 8 weeks or so HOWEVER they are in the 2018 semifinals , so the sole purpose of this thread is quite simple - LETS GET BEHIND our team of Dragons for what may very well be their final remaining match of the season .

No negativity on this particular thread ( as hard as it may be ) shall we ALL refrain ourselves and see that for all of the good and bad that the boys in the Big Red V will once again be representing the St.Geroge Illawarra in the finals this year .

Finally as said by a number of our colleagues - we shall have plenty of time to point the finger and discuss our failures so far this season very soon , so at this point in time there is the slightest of chances that our team could be victorious on Sunday, then I for one will be supporting them . :innocent:

Well done Sir Gareth for starting the ball rolling with your post. You are a legend.

Oh they were told, no doubt at all.

1. SGI have been shite since late May

2. the team is poorly coached in so many areas.

3. also, many individuals look busted.

4. player management (especially post Origin) has been awful.

5. the media has written the Dragons off for weeks.

6. the side plays a red hot Broncos’ side looking for redemption following its round one smashing at the hands of Saints at Kogarah.

7. this elimination final is at Suncorp Stadium, a olace that not only the team has an exceptional poor record, but it’ll be chock-a-block full of rabid Queenslanders baying for blood.

8. SGI hasn’t won a semi since 2010 nor in Brisbane since 2009.

9. there are vital players out due to injury (Vaughan and Nightingale).

and 10. there are unconfirmed reports the side is troubled by at least one star player wanting to leave.

Doesn’t look good, huh?

Remember this though: 2003 and 2007.

Saints have fought (and won) under much greater adversity.

I reckon we’re specials.

Don’t like it? Go put your money on the Nags then.

Dragons :dragon: by 4.

It was all here, folks.

When Jimmy is good, he is VERY GOOD!

I have studied and analysis every broncos game this year particularly their defensive line.
Yes I have a lot of time to do this for my beloved Dragons.
Over 80% of their try’s conceded are out wide on the wings. 60% of these trys are on Oates wing.
There is a method to my madness but if we attack out wide we should score a few trys.
They play a very compressed defensive line, we give them the impression we are going to do the usual 5 up the middle and then kick up a bomb.
But instead we continually sweep wide and kick chips, grabbers (NO BOMBS) behind the defensive line
Dear marry, Dean, Ben, please change out attacking style to the above game plan.
This game plan is free of charge and better than the same monotonous plan you are giving the boys.

WIN OR LOSE I WILL SUPPORT MY BELOVED ST GEORGE DRAGONS FOREVER !
MAKE US PROUD
Bump !!!!!!
I knew we would score a few trys out wide, Oates was a liability. Tariq was on fire.
The grubber kicks and Lomax kick got us a try too.
I’m applying for Mary’s job NOW!

Mc Innes, Hunt & Simms really lifted & were the difference.
Very pleased that Mary's finally seen the light with Lomax, who's given our backline new energy & skills.
I've always said we had the roster to win the trophy this year if injuries, selections and strategies coincided.
Widdop, De Belin & Vaughn would've been useful against the Bunnies, but I like the possibilities of Mann & Luc getting more gametime - with perhaps Field's speed being introduced to complement Lomax & Dufty.
Very pleased to see Blake improving rapidly .
Onya boys!

Soooo very sorry I posted on the spur of the moment on the veggie and tinfoil thread thanks for pointing that out Fckwit TB!

Too all the other veggie, fairybread and tinfoil posters in this thread ... my sincere apologies, honestly I didn't realise until after the fact. These hours do take a toll when you are so tired.

Go the Dragons in Brisbane on Sunday arvo I spose.
"god help us"

Nice comeback. Could have done with some originality though. But meh. You didn't expect us to win so next time don't feign "support".

No point all of us sticking it to one another when we're all supporters. On a day like today with a massive win we should be just enjoying it regardless. Some of us may go over the top sometimes on here but i think it just shows how passionate we all are.
Well done to Gareth though for starting this thread, the positivity paid off and makes the win even more enjoyable after a rough few weeks.
