wow .... i only just saw a replay of that foran knock on try (I fell asleep last night) .... what a shocker!!

i can accept onfield referees making mistakes with split second decisions ... but how can a video ref let that through??

If you mute the commentary, I reckon you can see that Ainscough's intention is always to try and go for the ball or the ball carrying area, and just gets there a half second too late. Smith took the ball in a squatting position anyway, so it wasn't "high" as such. Unintentional, very tough way to decide a GF imo.

Anyway, happy to be in the minority about this one. Nothing to do with apologies for St George, I thought the Storm got a very kind ride on the referees' backs through that whole final series, and it carried a strange stench imo.

he didn't even have to do reserve grade - he got to go on a holiday :roll:

I think the Foran decision may have been a payback for the Winterstein try. The ball was stripped the previous play and they missed it. So they each got a try they didn't deserve

Wasn't it one of these f*ckheads who ripped the Cowboys off in the 2004 major semi too?

Mini knocked it into Finch 4 meters out or something and instead of a penalty to the Cowboys it was a scrum to the Cowboys but the bell had just sounded, full time whistle blows.

There were a few other dodgy calls in that game too I believe......
