Most golf courses in Sydney seem to have been built on swampy land that probably wasn't great for housing - though that is probably true of the land that the current Sharks apartment development is on

What do you mean they’re struggling to find the money to open the club? They have 20-40m in the bank IIRC from the AGM a few weeks ago, let alone a $17m loan approval from CBA to fit the joint out when it’s ready to fit out.

Club will do very well when it opens. Saturday lunch after groceries will be at the club for many. A normal non game Saturday the place wouldn’t be as busy if the shops weren’t there.

Yep agree that the club will be a real money spinner if it's done properly and I have no reason to doubt the current administration. Onwards and up upwards on and off the field.

It's a pretty easy assessment to work out.
The club is taking out a loan to not only save the cash they have at their disposal but also banking on the new leagues club to pay the loan off on its lonesome, in a minimal time.
And it will easily.

It would certainly get us a lot closer to securing the required funding for a new stadium.
