Well not really.:sarcasm:
Just Noticed who the man in charge was for this weekends game.
Remember the last time Parra played Cronulla with S.Hayne in charge of proceedings.
The game had everything (except a full Cronulla team).
Might of been our biggest ever defeat (cant remember)but they did put 70 odd against us.
Hope we can turn this one around.

Highlight of that game was when Bails was captain and Hayne called over a shark for being in the 10 or something and Bails goes "send him off then he has to go"

I talkkk with my hands shanye its what I do

A sad indictment on the game at the moment is that Hayne is one of the better refs right now.

Watched that game with two Sharkies supporters. Was in 2003 right?

It was beyond laughable (almost), even for a Saints fan. A dead set blight on the game that night.

Why is it that refs seem to have massive egos, but lack the balls to make impartial calls against teams who are away from home?

I hate the way refs think its all about them. In my opinion, we shouldn't even know their names.

They shouldn't even be allowed onto a football field. They should be all stood up against a wall and publicly executed.

Rugby league should be a game of one agains the other, no rules grudge match.

Winner take all.

That'll have the crowds flocking back, and with our pack of pigs we'd go alright.

Naarrhhhhhhhh I dislike referees.

And the current crop, performing peacocks -- and they put mics on them so we are subjected to their oral excretment - - - I just hope one day one forward at the end of his career, would just peel away from a scrum and snot the bastard.

Cheers

we had 2 refs at oztag the other night.
It was heaps better.
One kept the defence back onside while the other watched for forward passes ect.
The game was heaps calmer and when two refs call a forward pass you can't really argue.

...I did though :)

I remember when we went for a feild goal and posters here derided the atempt , but it was the only way to get down feild and get the ball back. What a game ! I hope we can really dominate them this week.

Doesnt look good does it?
Someone had $50,000 on Parra to win the game too which brought them into $1.90 equal favourites.
You never know it may be our turn to get the 50/50 calls.

I don't know if it's just me but I'm finding the refereeing ranks seem to be filled with Home Town Harry's these days.

That Ben Cummins is a farce on 2 legs. Maxwell. Badger. Just to name a few. Doesn't guarantee the home side a win but I bet most home sides with these clowns in charge are faring better in the penalties at home.

lol one of my 2 brothers now works at homebush aquatic centre, he told me that the refs go there regularly, all massive wankers, especially hampstead who looks like he is up himself by along way...not all refs were there that time..

It's really infuriating listening to hayne thru sports ears at the game. He is a smart arse to a lot of players and crawls to some of the big name players by trying to crack jokes to them, sometimes about the opposition. Undoubtedly he will be out on the paddock performing his warm up routine before the game, he is a real prima dona.

The penalty count will likely be close to even but Hayne is a master at giving the penalties when they will hurt most. He will have an influence on this game.

2003 since we had our only ever home win.
Thats got to be the worst streak in the NRL.
Is there any worst combinations with refs and clubs?
Souths and someone maybe?
