A Joke ?

WESTS TIGERS coach Tim Sheens has warned New Zealand about picking an underdone Benji Marshall for the Centenary Test.
On the eve of his long-awaited comeback from his latest shoulder injury, the gifted playmaker spoke about his desire to play for the Kiwis on May 9.

But after playing only 25 games for the Tigers since the beginning of 2006, Sheens cautioned his $350,000 a year investment may not be ready for the vigours of Test football.

"I am not going to stand in anyone's way to play Test football," Sheens said.

"As long as he is prepared. If he plays two games then he will probably be close.

"But I think last year they played him and he was a bit underdone and they paid the price for it. I don't think he played well and he would agree with that.

"I'm not sure how many games he had but he was coming back from a shoulder injury and he wasn't confident."

Sheens will today name Marshall in his side to play the Sharks at Toyota Park on Sunday.

Matthew Head is understood to be the player who will miss out with John Morris retaining his spot in the halves.

"I am not going to speculate on who misses out," Sheens said. "But if I have to make a decision then I will.

"Everyone has to be passed fit before I make that decision. I think Benji will be right and we have Cronulla and Brisbane so it will be a pretty big Test for him."

But the jubilation of Marshall's return will be tempered for Tigers fans with star hooker Robbie Farah likely to miss another week.

"No I don't think he will play," Sheens said. "He is going to see a specialist. I might name him, but we have to have a look at him on Wednesday.

"I think Robbie is a bit behind Benji. It could well be the week after. You don't want to rush players like that because it is a long season.

"We have only played six rounds and there is a lot of footy to play yet. I'd rather have him and Benji back, healthy and playing at 100 percent, not come back and have it backfire on you."

As a season ticket holder of many years i will be absolutely disgusted and furious if John Morris is picked at half back over Mat Head !!!

That being said what the hell would the Telegraph know, in the second sentence of that article they say Marshall is coming back from his latest shoulder injury.... ahhh news flash you incompetant journalists, its a knee injury

I think Chewbecca and co are just f**king with Tigers fans.

At least I hope so. I will be interstate as of this afternoon so will be lucky to know unless I hear the heads exploding from there

Farah not playing will save Sheens the trouble of dropping Head.

This is f**king pathetic and absolutely ridiculous. All because Sheens just can't/won't admit that signing Morris as a half was a pathetic decision that has been a TOTAL FAILURE.

If Head is dropped I will not attend another game until he is reinstated and will not be renewing my ST next year. f**k that.

Exactly HT. Sheens won't admit that Johnny Cronk is a f**king spastic. Head has dominated 3 out of 4 halves he's played. He is utter class and our forwards look better for him being there because they don't need to do as much hard yakka getting belted coming out of our own corners. He leads the kick chase, the bulk of his kicks find dirt and we can pin sides and build pressure. Here's a stat junior burger's 12.5% win ratio in games without head skyrockets to 50% (and should be 100%) in games he has played with head there. He can even get us over the line with junior burger playing.

If Sheens starts Morris in front of Head he can get f**ked as far as I'm concerned. What a joke that would be, a top-line half back coming into form cooling his heels in reggies while a no-talent, can't tackle, can't kick, can't pass droid takes his spot.

This is making his love affair with Fitzy look like pure unadulerated hatred.

Imagine the tantrum Coach Sheens would of thrown in the press conference had Head made those 2 bad reads that led to tries for Soutsh which Morris did. Not to mention his horrible effort against Penrith rushing out of the line.

Sheens is stubborn, arrogant and has a massive ego. Selecting Morris at 7 for this week would just open more peoples eyes to this fact.

It'd be so unfortunate for Morris to have the wishbone tackle done on him.....

anyone able to sneak into training and have a crack at it...

Not to mention Morris' pass into the grandstand when we were attacking their line with a real chance to score on Sunday.

I will not attend any more games if Head is dropped for Morris. Utterly ridiculous.

If Morris does start ahead of Head, I hope we get belted to teach Sheens a lesson.

Sad when we're wishing a bloke was injured instead of the coach just sticking him where he belongs.

I'll take the right leg... lol
Unfortunately we're stuck with this coach longer than we're stuck with Morris.

If certain players were to be involved in...unfortunate accidents, as they say in the mafia, we may have a chance of getting the correct squad selected.

watchout guys, or someone will have you reported to every media outlet in sydney for being so mean to poor morris. then anytime anything negative is said about sheens, the media can always fall back on "your forum conduct is a disgrace scumbag"

Nothing is as disgraceful as selecting Morris at halfback, moreso when Head is available
