A lament ....

I am missing the presence of supercoach shines before games like this.

These are the games when the great man would have told the players and the press that "we'd like to win but they have to win"

They usually got what they needed too

He also kept everyone guessing and gave us plenty to talk about regarding team selections. For sure he would have had Anasta at lock and probably Rowe to 5/8. A couple of backs on the bench. Potter is far too predictable.

And the old, if we lose it won't end our season but if we win it won't make it.

He used that for the first 20-22 weeks usually.

Potter's anasta myopia is resembling shines' Morris/Fitzy episodes. Thank f**k the clown will retire to sky news and missing the cut at the nsw open in about 3 months

Ffs moth, get over it. That prick has been gone for 2 years. Move on. I'm sick of you constantly whining about him 2 years after he got sacked.

Grow up and move on ffs!

Amazingly potter didn't give the players aget out of jail free card

Under supercoach we'd have lost that and they'd have the ready made excuse that their coach drummed into the media all week "they were desperate, it was their last throw of the dice yada yada"

The point mad unit is that had we f**ked off the dinosaur when he should have been in 07 or 08 we'd have won another comp

You really hate him don't you. I'm not sure we would have won another comp however Potter is a better coach for us at this point.

Sheens "they had to win we wanted to win" was a go to call for much of his career at WT

It was so successful for him the Tigers missed the finals by 1-2 games about 6 times during his decade long reign.

Maybe we did have to win Tim

As was "(insert an obvious excuse) but we aren't going to use that as an excuse."

Look there's reasons we lost but we're not looking for excuses

One thing potter isn't doing is building a team of superstars

The great man shines had us motoring along with our cooper cronk, our Laurie Daley (Lawrence at 5/8), our Bradley Clyde (Dwyer), our thurston (the Benji to 7 abortion) our brandy Alexander in waiting (this was the Marshall to fullback experiment he would have gone with had Benji injured his shoulder again)

It was phenomenal how we stayed under the cap but then staying under the cap was never a concern for the great man when he won 2 comps with a raiders side that was miles over the cap

2 years now and this dinosaur is still unemployed. The only travesty is it was about 5 years too late

One thing I love about Potter, win loose or draw he fronts the media conference after the game and answers the questions put to him, Sheens would send Royce along or just Farah if the heat was on him. As Moth said,he should have been shown the door around 2008, but that would never happen because he told the board what to do, not the other way around.

Jeez I'm glad we don't all sit around whining about Sheens anymore...

Far more productive to vent our frustration at Potter! No doubt he's going to ring the changes after our worst performance in a year. I'm predicting that next game Anasta will stay at 6, Lawry Lawrence will play centre, Nofo will retain his wing spot over Koroibete and we'll play two utilities on the bench.

Its time for a change. If what you suggest happens I will blow my stack.

All true.
And Gavet will still be injured.
