Looking forward to seeing Daniel play too, the highlights I've seen of him on youtube are incredible. He looks freakish.

CWBush said:I miss the days when it was virtually an all Australia and New Zealand league. The rest of the world might find appeal in the flair of South Americans, the physical prowess of Africans, and the technical prowess of European imports - but give me a good old Australian battler anyday.
I never claimed the NSL was quality but at least it didn't need to sign 35 year olds as marquee players.
CWBush said:You're right. Rather than Z-Grade South Americans, we got atrocious Australians who would never crack a start anywhere else in the world. I'll take a Z-Grade Brazilian who is now playing in the MLS over a Z-Grade South Australian who is now playing in the powerhouse that is the SAPL.
I'm not saying it's world class football or that you have to enjoy it, but it's still a vast improvement on what we were having to endure as representing Australian football five years ago.
you seem to forget that the NSL was where plenty of our elite started their careers. bit of a newsflash, but 80-90% of A League players are ex NSL players
