A Question about Benji Marshall

Hey Tigers fans, just wondering if you could help me with something, I know Benji Marshall played for Keebra Park High School on the Gold Coast before he eventually went to the West Tigers, a friend reckons he played for NSW in the lower rep ages, is that true?

I had a feeling he played for QLD. Only reason why I say that is because it was mentioned somewhere ages ago from memory that if Benji wanted to play Origin, he'd be a Maroon.

I think he has just bulked up to much and altho he may be stronger he has lost his speed. He also seems to be getting an Andrew Johns barge arse lol.

yeah he's certainly bulked up a lot during the off season, i was hoping he'd have trimmed down a bit since last year.

Maybe its from all the ice cream he ate while crying after Sheens got the arse.

The extra weight hasn't helped him tackle any better. I saw a few pea hearted attempts in the All Stars game. Trial or not, he should at least have a dig.

I know it is early but I didn't think Robbie or Benji looked that good. Robbie did his usual kick out on the full (Anansta's new job perhaps) but both looked to be struggling. I think Benji is great but gee Thurston has put a gap on him....

Anasta should be our long 5th tackle kicker.
Has Benji ever kicked a 40/20? I know Robbie has but i dont recall anyone else kicking one.

I watched a highlights package of benji on YouTube a few weeks backed and noticed with interest a game from 2010 where he made a break against the cowboys, tamou was chasing and benji pulled away from him.

Either benji lost some or tamou gained a heap. Probably a bit of both but yeah, he does look slower, especially off the mark.

At least Benji has highlight packages.. Try looking for one of Anasta. It would probably contain a field goal and a collection of his kick offs over the dead ball line.
