Reynolds agreed to terms more than 2 weeks ago, to the faces of those offering the deal. Shifty prick took a better deal for multiple reasons.

• Trindall local junior and come through the ranks, on cheap $$
• Can both kick goals
• Re-sign SJ on less $
• Spend extra money on better pack and give the halves freedom & space

The best sides make average halves look good and good halves look great

e.g. Penrith - Luai is a good 5/8, but when you've got Fish/Yeo etc charging through the middle, Luai is lethal in good ball. Would Luai be as damaging for us?
e.g. Roosters/Melb - Hynes, Walker, Hughes - all first graders, but off the back of good packs, look excellent

Well there's agreeing to terms and signing the f**king contract. Mooney/Fitz/Co should have gotten done then and there.

I like to stick up for the club as much as possible but they f**ked this one. And Reynolds was key to us improving.

Given he loved Morris and the Sharks offered an insultingly low offer to him, I have little doubt he is gone at the end of the season.

So Broncos found more money to throw at him.

Were we that stubborn we wouldn't go higher with money we already clearly had. Sounds like we tried to be silly buggers and went in too low to start with.

Anyway, no point crying over it, what's done is done. My confidence in Mooney has taken a hit though, thought he was better than this.

Hopefully we use this spare cash to keep SJ now because we can’t afford to lose him, although as I said I don’t like the chances. We need him now because everyone else off contract is pretty shit
