A somewhat controversial idea?

I know that Mason can be a good player however as an Australian and NSW Representative he also brings a big price tag - no matter if the Dogs were to punt him or not he will still command a decent salary. As a forward he would either need to play front row or second row and with this years acquisition of Cannings who has more of an upside than Mason IMO he would struggle to start. He would be a handy bench option but do you need to pay as much as he would command for a bench player?

We already carry players who have played Origin and for their respective countries and would also likely command a similar paycheque once their contracts come up for renewal or extension.

The talent in the lower grades which I have already mentioned needs looking after.

Should Graham return to the form he showed last year he would be the ideal replacement in the centres and Langi and Petersen provide depth. Youngsters like Lantry, Delaney, Ben Smith and Joel Reddy can be developed for the long term future.

Mason won't be going anywhere. I heard a massive twist to this story on the weekend, and it's enough to suggest the Bulldogs will be looking after Mason not vice versa!!!!

Parramatta has plenty of depth what we need is an impact player, especially in the forwards but I'm not convinced it is Mason we need.

David Gallop said that the NRL could de-register players for life. IF Mason has done something so bad that the Dogs want to be rid of him then it's possible no one will be signing him up for anything.

Mason? Only of in a swap for Brian Smith!

We don't need Mason. We have the far better Hindmarsh.

Shore up the young boys that we have in Reggies. Wage rises for Smith, Gruzka (man I can never remember how to spell this bloke's name properly), Tsoulous, Armit & co.

Just because some is a good player on the field, doesnt mean they will imporve the quality of your squad. The bad influence he would have on our young players, would hinder us more than it would help us.

If Joey quits football, Mason will end up back in Newcastle.

sounds good when you first thinks about but after pondering on it i think it would be a bad idea, plus there will a lot better quality players on the market then hin come june.

I'd have mixed emotions, we need a gun player in the backs...considering that Lyon looks like retireing, so my question is let's go after Ryan Cross or another high profile back.

For a guy of Masons size he's as soft as the toilet paper on my arse....think about it??...a fight between Hindarsh & Mason Hindmarsh would belt crap out of him....bang crash wallop will be heard as Mason hits the turf

We need a quality back....end of story!
