Where I sat at the GF, there was a pair of blokes behind me who spent the hour before the game and the entire game yelling "Matt prior" every 5 minutes.
It was f**king brilliant.

Pisses me off with all the talk of Woods for origin and the test - while Matty Prior gets almost no wraps at all.
Without Prior we don't win last year.

It is very unfair to Prior, but good (short term) for the Sharks.

Prior has been magnificent for us, and no coincidence that while Gallen and Graham get deserved wraps over the last few weeks, one of the constants when our team is going well and our defense is great, is that Prior's form as the best defensive prop in the game is right up there.

He is much better than Woods.

I love all Matt Priors. Def superior to Woods. So is Graham. Love to see that Brit in the BW&B, but doubt we could afford the contract he'd command.

Unless we find a development replacement for Bird. But then, does Prior go to the bench. Graham and Fifita in the same team could be an intensity overload.

If only Flanno would give Prior the minutes he deserves. His strongest games have come with extra minutes. He's a machine, leave him out there longer than 40 minutes a game.

My guess is that we will see more minutes from Prior later in the season. Last year he really seemed to kick-on in the back half of the season. Comps aren't won in April, just ask Flange. ;)

Yep, part of the bonus of having such good depth is it allows Flanno to time the minutes to get maximum rest and form at the right times. Just like in 2016!

If we got James Graham, could we play Prior as a back rower? He is fast and fit and a great tackler, just not sure if he could do the defense reading and run the lines, but he would probably pick that up. We'd probably need more minutes from the bench also, but we have a lot of depth.

He would be ideal as the middle guy. Like gal.
I wouldn't want him on the edge. His front on defence would be wasted as well as his willingnesss to take the hard hit ups.

Yeah, he is awesome as he is.

I was just pondering what we could do if Graham joined the Sharks.

But in the end, it would mean less time on the field for either Fifita, Prior, or James Graham himself, so not worth it unless we pay unders.

We need some young back rowers now, really, for when our veteran back row retire.

And a centre too, obviously.

Wwe must compensate for injuries. (Everything crossed) ... we have had a real good run so far and last year was awesome. (Everything doubly crossed) .... I hope it lasts.

He started off as a backrower, so I would expect he could make that change pretty easily.

Yes, this. Prior or Graham taking Gal's starting 13. Gal to 15.
I'd be leaving graham on the edge.

We need a cheaper bench front rower and a middle backrower that can play long minutes and do the volume of work gal does.
Bakuya can be Lewis. Or maybe even capewell. But that jury is still out. Capewell seems like a footballer. Someone who has a good feel for where the ball will be like Lewis does.

Put him at right centre.
Thats where he started.

He did get joint player of the year with Fifita.

Well if they all come to training & practice moves religiously, such as jumping off the top rope or smashing a chair over their "opponent's" head, we should have no injury dramas.

There is some hope for you yet young Cardy.
