Brian May still carves up and he's 60 or 61 now.

Back on topic, I cannot WAIT until I get to see AC/DC in a couple of weeks. I'm going to the March 8 Perth show (the last of the Australian leg of this tour). Could be their last ever gig in Australia (if they do pull the pin, as some say they will), so in 50yrs time, I'll be able to say 'I was there'.

How was their warm-up band (Wolfmother)? Are they any good live? I'm not their biggest fan, but I don't mind the odd song of theirs.

I don't know how Angus is still alive. He comes on at the start of the show looking like he's in his 30's, dressed in his school uniform, yet by the end of the show he looks like an old man, balding and drenched in his own sweat.

The opening sequence was brilliant as well! Sexual innuendos galore. I was in Arena A with my mates, right near the gangway so for much of the show I was 10 metres from Brian and Angus. During one song (can't remember which one) Brian looked at me while grabbing his balls!

I agree with others that Wolfmother were surprisingly good live. 'Joker and the thief' is such a better song live than on their album or the radio. Really needs to be played LOUD. For anybody going tonight and reading this post, if you're in the moshpit, try and stand near some good-looking girls when 'The Jack' starts getting played. It's the one song where you might not want to pay too much attention to what's happening on stage. ;-)

I've heard about what happens when that song's played live. In fact, I heard about it one day, then the following day I heard Hamish & Andy discussing it on their radio show.

I would love to know how, when, and why this particular 'tradition' came about!

I was there Monday night and call me a non-purist but I thought the solo was a little self-indulgent. Surely everyone knows he's a great guitarist by now? 5 minutes would have shown that...

it also acts as rest period for the singer.

he hangs at the back and gets an IV hookup.

I thought the same. But then again, isn't the prupose of a guitar solo to be self-indulgent?

Exactly simmo, and EXACTLY russell crowes band! Although I don't think it was IV, more likely oxygen tanks from the reports I read.

Was at the Brisbane concert last night, f*cking loved it.

Really well behaved crowd, Angus is nothing short of a living legend. (however called him Golem, nailed it)

Was in Arena 1, nice and close to the stage.

Biggest band on earth, they didn't disappoint. Enjoyed Wolfmother also

It was funny seeing the mix of (very) old and young on their way to the concert on the streets of Brisbane yesterday afternoon..

Black jeans, t shirts and grey hair every where..

Went to the Thursday show.

Less than five metres from the front barrier on the left hand side.

Best, night, ever.

2nd time I have seen them live. I probably enjoyed the concert back in 2001 (I think) slightly more but still a awesome night.
