i posted this in the NRL section as to acknowledge support from that code, administration has seen fit (as is there right) to move it here instead, so there you go.

Apart from being a lifelong Eels follower i do enjoy other codes including the Richmond Tigers in AFL which how i found out about Rama's predicament.

I know this is a Rugby League Forum but i feel that when it comes to life and its ups and downs no-one is exempt, no matter what sport you follow.

Adam Ramanauskus is a star player for the Essendon Bombers and after beating cancer once in 2003, he has had a recurrance and was diagnosed for the second time last week.

After watching Vella overcome his throat cancer last year i cant help but feel for Rama and what he must now go through again.

Damn it but even the biggest Bomber's supporters REALISTICALLY are looking at coming between 8-12th this year at the best. We are rebuilding. Ramanascus is a big loss and our sympathy is with him.

locky I would be hoping to challenge for 7th/8th. Might not get much further but Sheeds does have a habit of still getting them there or there abouts even in the times he has gone through the rebuilding stage. Last season provided a few promising youngsters with some chances and hopefully it will result in a positive season.

Look I am an Essendon supporter and 7th is about the absolute maximum! We are rebuilding. I just can't see it unless Lloyd kicks 100 goals+ and Lukas stays on the park all year. Our midfield is incredibly young and in the end that will cost us this year. I hope I am wrong but I doubt it!

But Collingwood also has a crap midfield and the bonus of crap rucks and any Collingwood tragic will tell you that they're certainties for the 8 and bloody good things for the 4.

On that logic Essendon should be there with them...

Collingwood is the major scum of the AFL! Everyone bar Collingwood supporters hate them! Essendon don't cheat any more than any other side!

If you had seen the footage exposed last year of free kicks paid to Matthew Lloyd when not a single hand was laid on him and he was taking dives, you would know what I mean.


Anyone who has watched Essendon for long enough knows they were the umpires darlings in the mid-90's-early-00's

Most full-forwards dive a bit! Chris Tarrant anyone? Richardson?

I think you will find if you compare the treatment that Tarrant and Richo get from the filth in white is completely different to the treatment Lloyd receives.
