While we are bringing up inconsistencies: Kinda frustrating to watch Manly knock it on, have the ball roll forward 10 meters then tackle William's on our try line for zero. A play or two later we knock it on with the ball rolling forward 10 meters and Snowy tackles whoever, only to have the ref blow the knock on and call scrum back where the ball was dropped.

It wasn't unanimous at all - what about the ref who signalled play on but then changed his mind probably because the other ref thought differently after we made a break.

If that was manly in our shoes, they would have been allowed to run 90m to score to wrap up the game. There is no doubt bias across teams - it mat not be deliberate but it is there. Ask the knights after Monday night - the broncos were given all the calls (& I am not talking about the trys disallowed).

Youre absolutely right, I listened to the Knights game, and have to agree, that referreeing did them no favours whatsoever.
Be interested to see, if Newcastle, after their 'whinge', get the 'good' calls this week:x

The only way for us to nullify the referies performance is to score so many tries every game that a 15 - 2 penalty count against us wouldn't make a scrap of difference.

Easy.

I remember the advantage rule used to be once a team had the ball past the initial infringement, advantage over. It now says ten metres and the refs are looking at it from a rugby union perspective, which is definitely not right.
