Bloody Collingwood

If the Roosters lose tonight I will be hella depressed

Loks like the Chooks lifted your spirits...

Are you a Hawthorn fan or do you just hate Collingwood with an intensity that borders on the pathological?

BOTH

 Fair enough...

It wasn't pretty viewing (as is per usual) yesterday...

I can't believe all this Collingwood 'back in town' talk flowing after the game! I said after the Essendon debacle that the Bombers were kidding themselves in talking themselves up as premiership fancies, as it was clearly a case of Hawthorn being diabolically bad than Essendon being particularly good. Its instructive that Essendon hasn't won a game since, although I'd like to think of it as Karma.

The same goes for Collingwood, who would have been expected to beat us by 10 goals, given that we're at our lowest ebb for 40 years and they had a full strength line-up.

I've already earmarked the following players for forced retirement or axing at the end of the season...

Nick Holland
John Barker
Luke McCabe
Rayden Tallis
Adrian Cox
Matthew Ball
Angelo Lekkas

Lekkas was in line for AA selection not so long ago, but has fallen away badly and has had a poor on-field and off-field attitude this season. Holland & Barker are both shot to pieces, and while we aren't blessed for talls at the moment, we'll pick-up a couple through the draft and should have Boyle back on deck for 2005. McCabe & Tallis have never been anything other than useless and I would've cut them both loose years ago. Cox has had plenty of chances, and Ball just isn't good enough to cut it long term.

Haha, the best thing about yesterday afternoon's game was surely listening to Mark Harvey during the halftime break.

SOS asked him what the re-signing of Sheedy meant for him and he said...

"Well, I'd only leave Essendon to get a headjob"...

(uncomfortable silence accompanied by uncomfortable looks for a few seconds)

"Er, um, to get a head coaching job."

GOLD JERRY, GOLD!

Bloody Kangaroos had to spoil a perfect round of tips for me.

Not that I'm accusing you of deliberate historical revisionism, Old Son, but methinks that you also threw a tip to the Demons who got botty-smacked at AAMI Stadium.

We'll come top, top, top
Then we'll flop, flop, flop
It's the true Port Adelaide tradition........
