yeh, the ball handlng was pretty poor as well, almost like the surface was wet

I started to get concerned when the Bombers got a few towards the end, I thought "no way can this happen again"

its good to have a win :D

Man, last night was bad to watch. Least earlier in the season we looked like playing good footy when losing. Thank god for Dustin Fletcher, he played awesome and is one of few currently doing so. Courtney Johns went orright last night and Lucas continues to put in, as did both Johnson, but god it was some poor play last night.

Where is the appluase for Richmond?!

In seasons past, June, North Melbourne, Richmond loss, season taking a spiral dive.

Today, in spite of rampant cheating by the umpires, we smashed the bastards.

GO RICHMOND!

Talk about fog... also about -10C bloody cold. Im suprise it didn't start snowing.

How good is it that we are beating teams like North and Adelaide... our bogey teams.

Be interesting watching the replay, the number of times i said 'you are a joke' aimed the the umpires was probably 10 times more than usual. It was farcical.

Petts is really showing everyone why he was such a low draft pick and once again our defence looked much MUCH more organized without Gas running around. I dont know why that is.. but it did. Oh, and once again we proved that we can win games without big Richo! :D

Mainly the first quarter.

Really felt like a square up for the Wallace and co complaning about their cheating last week.

And dogs just get over the line against Freo.

Carlton are BEATING West Coast!?? 38-21 at Quarter time.... wouldn't that be an upset.

Now i wish i had a lazy $10 on Carlton. Although im sure West Coast will run over them... they have to, right?

Hawthorn get owned by 95 points

As is per usual.

Port have got a complete hold on us, by far our toughest annual assignment regardless of any and all outside factors. Had their best structure in place for the season, and ran amok. Far too good, and even had the luck of the green rolling with them consistently throughout the day. Any chance of the AFL scheduling this fixture in Melbourne for a change next season, so that we can at least keep the margin down?

Will need a huge lift next week to push Richmond whose steadiness continued yesterday as they wore down a tired and tepid Kangaroo side. The Tigers aren't doing anything especially brilliant, but are working hard and doing all the basic things right. Will be enough to comfortably get up next week, on form.

St Kilda were fabulous last night, and went further towards proving my theory that they were robbed of last year's flag by the fickle finger of fate. Great intensity by both side during the final term and the depleted Saints did a top job to hang on. I haven't heard about the extent of Luke Ball's latest injury, but I hope it isn't too serious.

I'm hoping Carlton can continue on with it against West Coast, but the realist in me expects them to put in another fade-out as per the Collingwood debacle.

Thank Christ the Dragons are winning games, is all I'm saying! :(

Absoloute tripe.

If you pick Richmond as your lock of the week, I'm going to head butt you ;-)

They will be breathing fire in the first quarter, I expect as usual the game to go down to the wire.

Hawthorn, as misfortune would have it, are immune to my curses, so it wouldn't help them any if I did make the Tigers the lock.

I'm not intending to anyway, given the recent nature of clashes between the two sides, there would have to be a side or two on offer that look more of a gimme.

That said, Hawthorn will need to serve up a performance more akin to the Hounds game than today's debacle. Of course, Hawthorn's ongoing woes with Port suggest its hard to take a lot out of today's game either way. Year after year, we just can't seem to match them up.

& congratulions to the Blues too I must say.

Fantastic performance.

Yes.

I'm not one for wrap[ping the Blues too often, but I really wanted them to get up today.

Overran in the final term, and no doubt the Eagles were on the receiving end of some favourable "home towners", as tends to be the case.

Made a bit of a mockery of the $10+ that was being offered for the Blues in some quarters.

The Blues were 11/1 hd to hd

I didn't want them to get up

I had money on W.Coast Under 39.5 and was seething with their performance up until the final 10 minutes.

Have to feel for Carlton though

I was hoping Carlton would get up, I've had enough of those arrogant eagle supporters, especially after Richmond's loss to them last year.

But well done Carlton....

Kev, Saints aren't that good.

The interesting thing is this really brings West Coast back to the pack. They really, really cannot afford to drop Subiaco games against Mediocre opposition. A shame the Blues didnt get up, BUT the Eagles are going to lose games this year.

No top 2/Subiaco Prelim = Zero chance of a West Coast premiership.

They DESPERATELY need to draft some KPP players. They had their chances to wipe Carlton in the 3rd quarter but had to wait to stage another late comeback. Against opposition even slightly more capable in the back half than Carlton that's not going to happen.

As I just said on MSN to Locky though, today is an important step for Carlton. As with the Mighties last week, Carlton's kids now know they can go to Perth and play well, they know they have *nothing* to fear from playing there.

Pfft, every club has them. The Lions more so then most.

I'm getting pretty peeved at the way we are playing. We are better then that. Our kicking was woefull going by the scoreboard. We should have beaten the Blues by more then 10 points. We are in for a very painful and disappointing end of the season if we don't pull our socks up. We have played two teams that are on the bottom half of the ladder and have only just won. I was hoping last weeks game against the Cats was a wake up call but obviously not. If i was Woosha i'd be kicking their arses all week!
