Kev who else will get it!

History suggests that you need a minimum of 7 wins to be assured of avoiding the spoon.

Essendon & Carlton deserve hot favouritism, but all sides up to and including the Kangaroos cannot be ruled out for mine.

Okay, onto the games...

Richmond
St Kilda
Adelaide
Kangaroos
West Coast
Geelong
Western Bulldogs
Collingwood

Adelaide comfortably gets 'lock of the round' status.

I'm most concerned about Richmond, as my head says the Demons, but gut feeling says they're about to fall in an almighty hole.

Expect Essendon to get thumped en route to equalling their worst ever run of consecutive losses. No shame in this, as IMO the Saints are second only to Adelaide in terms of current form.

Four in a row to the Kangaroos, and big troubles brewing for the Lions.

What the flock are you doing tipping Richmond?! Change your bloody tip!

Pretty please?

:)

Good news for the Hawks overnight as Buddy re-signed. Now let's hope Richmond can get young Tambling signed up before the scum come knocking.

Tigers of Old is telling me that Tambling signed a 3 year contract from the get go.

This is very rare and I can't recall any word of it, but he seems confident that he's already tied-up for 2007.

Haha.

There's nothing quite like malleability of thought when it comes to Internet footy fora.

Overnight, on Bomber Blitz, popular thought has turned Franklin from an exciting prospect that it would be worth shelling out $300k+ a year for, to an unabashed no-hoper that the club was exceedingly fortunate to have missed out on.

Expect for young Rischittelli (sp?) to become the new young champion of choice for the Bomber diehards over the ensuing weeks. :p

I can't read BomberBlitz anymore :(

Don't think they took too kindly too my sl.agging them after getting pumped by 130plus against the Crows :)

Yes, although - in fairness - I occasionally visit the key web fora of all clubs, and can safely say that knob jockeys aren't confined to BB. Of course, Essendon has more tragics than most, so it would stand to reason that they would also have a higher quotient of tosspots.

Its not like you're missing a lot. I just went in there to check the line of thinking over Franklin.

No sense of humour, obviously.

Worst game of football (Skill wise) I've in many many years. I'm prepared to write it off an abberation though.

Richmond had to have kicked out on the full at least 10 times and the combined unforced turnover count from kicks surely was up around 40-50. It was attrocious football on both sides and Melbourne were lucky Wallace got his match ups wrong (Bowden (J) on Robbo was a mistake)

If last night is an example of what is to come, Richmon won't make the 8 and Melbourne are zero chance of winning the premiership.

Wallace got his match-ups wrong? What match ups?

Did he even tell our blokes to match up on somebody? It seemed like they were told to just go out there and have a run around and not worry about picking anybody up.. How often did Melbourne have spare players on the wings that just carried the ball up to the forward line in one or two kicks. Yet we get the ball in the backline and have absolutley NOBODY open to kick to - So instead of kicking it 50-60 meters up to a contest or pack... we kick it 15 meters to a contest.. very smart.

If Melbourne hadn't been almost as bad as us im afraid we might have had our 3rd 100+ point loss. I still cant believe we lost by 18 points, and for that fact, anyone who says on form (vs Brisbane and Richmond) that Melbourne are a good chance at winning the premiership are kidding htemselves. I think even Coburg would have beaten Melbourne last night and the Boronia U19's would probably have come close to beating us. Woeful effort.

One positive, with me going to my first interstate game next week.... the Tigers cant possibly be this bad to weeks in a row can they? Im hoping i'll see a fired up Tigers next week.

What a shame that on Friday night, at the G in front of a big ground we all had to witness that rubbish. We played like we were at the Telstra Dump, not the great MCG. What rubs salt into the wounds is when i hear Melbourne players whining about Richmond putting numbers behind the ball. Dont get me wrong this is correct.. but for some reason they forget to mention the other team who had a fair amount of players behind the ball. Funny that.

To anyone who watched this game on TV (or has seen the replay) could you tell me if that 'mark' in Richmonds goal square in (possibly) the 3rd quarter was an actual mark? Or did the ump get it right when he called for a bounce? I was sure it was a Richmond mark.

29-16 to essendon at quarter time! Essendon playing pretty damn well minus hird lloyd fletcher lovet-murray johns and monfries among others. Lovett showed what he can do, lucas and Watson playing excellent and the whole team playing well for once!

Come on you bombers!

Missing 16 players against one of the best (supposedly) sides in the comp, losing by just 3 points is bloody great effort in a match most thought bombers would get spanked in
