Actually, they are going to take the rising star award away from Andrew thanks to a bullsh*t charge, as well as wiping out our entire ruck department.

Richmond are going to get spanked by 200 points on Saturday :(

Thing is that although it was only a small infringement, Raines should have been aware of his actions. I think he may be unlucky but I don't think he would get the rising star anyway. The port adelaide bloke probally will.

Cam, what ones do you think they got wrong? Simmons is lucky he only got 1 week. Stafford is a tad unlucky but he was going to get 1 or 2 weeks. Raines got a reprimand. I think they got them all about right really.

Ever since ray hall's ridiculous 'jumper punch' last season against Cloke, I have seen at least 10 cases that haven't gone up all of which were exactly the same. Some of course have been picked up, but they have to be consistent, IMO they should only get a fine anyway..

The real joke is Stafford going for two weeks. Ablett got a week for similar and went up and subsequently got nothing. I would expect the same will happen with Staff. Its only because Staff prepared himself for the contact and Goddard the useless idiot didn't.. Why should a player be penalised for being smart when it comes to making contact.

I still say Jack Dyer wouldn't know what hit him if he saw some of the suspensions getting handed down these days.

I hear Raines and Staff are going to appeal. I can only hope both get off (rains charge downgraded from international to reckless) We need staff next week with Simo getting one week (and not appealing)

I find it hard to know how Mooney only gets 1 week for a deliberate charge, with the elbow.. and Staff gets 2 weeks for something he basically couldn't avoid.

Can someone tell me the difference between high impact and high contact and why Stafford should be whacked with both especially since it didn't even hit him high?

Under either system the really nasty offensces would get picked-up and dealt with. If anything, however, you're likely to get more leniently dealth with for a harsh offence under the new system. To make matters worse, under this new nonsense, you can be guaranteed to be more harshly dealt with for relatively trivial offences.

Spot on the money.

Raines i believe is 8-1 to win it. Hardly out of it...

What rubbish. We're not a bunch of ballerina's.

Rising Star - The Son of Geoff may not have won it but he deserves too.

Never said he was out of it. But I would not be giving it to him. Even Dale Thomas I would pick before Raines. Raines has been good but I think the others have been fractionally better over the course of the year.

Are you sure you're not a skunk in disguise?

Shaw I would accept - But Thomas? Please, Andrew has been FAR more consistent than the hairdo.

The point is tiger there are a few I would have before Raines. One is that really good young port player, forget his name all the time, there are a couple from brisbane as well that I like the look of as well, and there is that young eagles midfielder that filled in for judd as well.

Common sense has prevailed with Raines getting off and also Staff getting off. The best thing about Staff getting off is that cowardly sniper Baker got 2 weeks for retaliating to Stafford's legal hit on Goddard.

Rubbish.

Murphy would have been a monty prior to his injury, looked very impressive. At this stage it has to be between Raines and Shaw.

That is your view. My view is the guy from Port Adelaide has looked the most impressive throughout the season.

Stafford should have got off - CORRECT CALL

Raines should have got a reprimand for a first offence of this type - CORRECT CALL

Baker should have got off, nothing incident - INCORRECT CALL

Two out of three aint bad, I suppose.

Given WHO got the incorrect call... I'm not worried at all.

He was owed weeks for his hit on Captain Johnno that he virtually got away with a few years ago...
