Cam, what ones do you think they got wrong? Simmons is lucky he only got 1 week. Stafford is a tad unlucky but he was going to get 1 or 2 weeks. Raines got a reprimand. I think they got them all about right really.
Ever since ray hall's ridiculous 'jumper punch' last season against Cloke, I have seen at least 10 cases that haven't gone up all of which were exactly the same. Some of course have been picked up, but they have to be consistent, IMO they should only get a fine anyway..
The real joke is Stafford going for two weeks. Ablett got a week for similar and went up and subsequently got nothing. I would expect the same will happen with Staff. Its only because Staff prepared himself for the contact and Goddard the useless idiot didn't.. Why should a player be penalised for being smart when it comes to making contact.
I still say Jack Dyer wouldn't know what hit him if he saw some of the suspensions getting handed down these days.
I hear Raines and Staff are going to appeal. I can only hope both get off (rains charge downgraded from international to reckless) We need staff next week with Simo getting one week (and not appealing)
I find it hard to know how Mooney only gets 1 week for a deliberate charge, with the elbow.. and Staff gets 2 weeks for something he basically couldn't avoid.
Can someone tell me the difference between high impact and high contact and why Stafford should be whacked with both especially since it didn't even hit him high?
