2 out of 2 have tipped Richmond?

pfft

We haven't beaten Geelong anywhere since 2000
We have won a grand total of 3 games in the last 30 years at Kardinia Park

Richmond doesn't travel down the highway well at all ...

Sydney by 100 Locky? As much as I want to see as many teams rack up 20 goal rapings as possible to hide Richmond's 2 disgraces ... After Sir Jeffrey's spray towards Clarko and the players this week, expect them to come out breathing fire.

Well as much fire as peroxide wankers can anyway.

Richmond are home and hosed and will do it very comfortably at the cattery.

Hawthorn are shot birds and will go down by a club record 150+ on Saturday night...

The curse of Kev will always trump the curse of Craig, young man!

Nice try though... :p

Interesting article in the SMH today, wherein Paul Roos became the first person (involved with the game, but outside Hawthorn) to support Alistair Clarkson's stance on Zac Dawson.

Richard Hinds (SMH) said:
Roos said he would not be surprised if Dawson was asked to play on Barry Hall. "That's possible, I think Alastair's taken the view that he wants to develop him playing against good opponents," he said. "We did that a bit last year with Lewi [Lewis Roberts-Thomson]. You get criticised a bit at the time but you're looking for long-term results."

Of course, he may just be angleing for a Hall/Dawson match-up ;-)

Talk about a stretch. Hinds mentions in the article that Hawthorn has traded away several "experienced" KPP options, and includes Luke McPharlin in the list.

Not only were our hands well and truly tied with McPharlin (he was out of contract and Freo had us over a barrel), but he was 20 years old and had played as many games then as Dawson has now (with none of his games played at FB)!

Got my tickets to kardinia park (or whatever it is called these days, skilled?) standing room only.. but its good enough. Will be my first time there so hopefully the tiges can put in a good performance.

My tips will be something like this:

Western Bulldogs
Richmond
Adelaide
Essendon
Sydney
Brisbane Lions
Kangaroos
West Coast

You've never experienced the joys  of Kardinia Park before?

You poor sod, you're in for a great time arguing with the hicks down there if we win

We went cheer squad as we usually do for out of Melbourne games :( Although would have preferred just normal standing room.

Things must have changed in Cattown.

I haven't ventured there since 1992 and went there often in the 1980s. At that time, I found them to be the supporters who were most readily "accepting of defeat".

Hardly a tag to be proud of.

The ye olde Saints of the Moorabbin "snake pit", however, were an entirely different story.

I'll take two on Adelaide for 'lock of the round'.

The only other game to give me serious angst was the game at the Cattery.

I'm very interested in how tonight's game unfolds.

Despite the harbingers of doom, expect Hawthorn to run Sydney closer than people expect.

Have I e ver mentioned before I loathe Collingwood fans?

Dirty scum they are. :x

Tonight showed why Footscray can't win this years premiership. They are just too short.

Well, I'd imagine that Craig & Cammers are probably off somewhere enjoying a very late liquid lunch.

I watched the second half of this afternoon's game and was impressed with the Tigers.

They played hard-at-it, basic football and did the right things when they needed to be done. They had a number of top players on the day, primary among them: Kayne Pettifer (how improved is he?), Mark Coughlan, Chris Hyde, Richard Tambling (superb game) & Shane Tuck. In past times, they would have been overran by a side like Geelong, but their composure late today was admirable. I hope that Deledio's injury is only very minor.

Geelong has some problems, but wasn't really that bad today. They lack confidence and appeared to be suffering badly from the growing presure on them. They muffed a couple of prime opportunities early in the last term and the game was effectively lost. For mine, they tried to force and overwork plays too often. Ablett, Byrnes, Bartel, Kelly, Rooke & Scarlett were all very good for the losers, but my earlier comments about the side lacking "go up" were clearly justified again today.

Apart from Ablett Jnr, they just lacked the oomph players to really seize the occasion, and will be badly exposed for this whenever their confidence and workrate dips.

I enjoyed watching the game nevertheless.

Spot on about Pettifer Kev. I am loving the season he is having. The kid is finally starting to show more than glimpses of why he was drafted so high.

I must say ... Tonight was the first time EVER that I have made a winning journey back up the highway

YELLOW AND BLACK

Fittingly it was Simmonds, who dominated the ruck all day

Go Otto.

sh*t merkin.

Well well well....

What an absolute cracker of a game, great time to go to bogan stadium for first time i must say. Standing with the other tiges behind the goals.. it was an awesome atmosphere and it continued even after the game had finished and players had left the ground. We really are the best supporters in the league :D :D

As you might expect, bit hard to follow the game so i'll wait until i've seen the replay to coment more on the game, but Hyde, Bling, Petts were all great. Love the Geelong supporters towing the media line of us playing basketball.. i tell ya what, we played footy today, good hard tough footy. Geelong supporters can whine about the style of footy we played last week all they want, but we are the one winning games and WITH a game plan. So im wrapped. Like i said more to come after i've calmed down, sobered up and seen the replay.

One more thing, if Sheedy thinks thats how Essendon are going to get 'bums on seats' (by getting flogged) and working for the future, he is kidding himself. Who is he going to use to divert attention away from Essendon this week?

I can only hope the media pulls their head out of the sand and starts asking serious questions about Essendon. Also they better give credit to the tiges after we won and not focusing on the Cats losing.

I head lids may be out for up to 6 weeks? i had the same feeling today seeing him go off that i did when seeing brown go off last year. I felt sick. Thanlfully i hear he was walking around after the game so it shouldn't be that bad.

Gotta get this in aswell... great game Otto.. Bahh haha!
