I must say ... Tonight was the first time EVER that I have made a winning journey back up the highway

Me too mate :D

I thought Ablett would kill us like his father had done in previous years. Thankfully he tried he's best but wasn't good enough. One thing, how long does the hold the ball for ffs?

Was runnign the boundary at one point ... Not season ending.

You were standing near us Cammers :) We were upm in standing room too :)

Good to hear. Was hard to see from where we were.

It was going off wasn't it! Made me proud to be a tiger.

Yeah i was just on the edge of the section where all the tiger supporters were.

I dont think Richmond got one free kick without hearing a few Geelong supporters around us not agree with it lol..

f**k me dead! Dead set...I tipped the Tigers all week and then relised today that I tipped the Cats! F..k I must have been blind drunk to do that! As for the bombers...well....um...we suck. Don't need to add any more than that. We might win against Carlton and the kangaroos but apart from that I can't see us winning many games!

Bombers, goneskies this year. No consistent goal kickers bar Lucas

I knew that after Lloyd was injured! We are stuffed, but it gives us a chance to get the no1 pick in the draft and blood some youngsters. Jobe Watson was pretty good tonight.

Essendon have been unlucky... but even so.

I think most supporters would enjoy seeing Essendon and Carlton on the bottom of the ladder. :D

I have to admit, the missus yelled at me last night for laughing at the footage of all the upset Essendon fans.

I just don't think she understands what it's like to see the arrogant trolls actually go through some hard times for once ...

(Not referring to anyone on this site, most Scummer fans here are quite good - Vic based Bomber fans I mean)

I think losing by a point to hawthorn and 2 points to Richmond in successive weeks broke the back of the bombers (oh yeah, alliteration!). Only positivesi can think of currently are that at least (from games i've seen) the youngsters aregoing well eg second seasoners like lovvett, lovet murrey, monfries, plus Jobe Watson is playing very well this season. Fletcher is still good as well. And Scott Lucas is a champion. Things dont look good but, we'll almost certainly be bottom two.

Far too good the Swans.

Very impressive up forward and, as is per usual, their conversion rate is extraordinary. An 11 goal win despite only having 5 more scoring shots! I think Goodes (long one of my favourite players) is back to his Brownlow winning best, and players like Fosdike (scarcely spoken of) show how good a team structure they have.

Everitt was very, very ordinary around the traps last night, but still comfortably won the hitouts. I'm thinking Sydney would pretty much be a flag shoo-in right now had they managed to snare the big Spida during the past trade period.

When your side only has a handful of genuine contributers on the night, I think the less said the better.

I will, however, wrap Jordan Lewis who became one of the painfully few teeenagers to snare 30 possessions in an AFL match (I know Judd did it, also aged 19, in 2003, but that's all I can think of for quite a good many years) and did so while leading the match for contested possessions and inside-50s. His effective possession rate was also high.

I've been wanting the panel to play him in the centre for a whole match from the start for sometime now. Given another full preseason of heavy fitness work, will be a boom player in the middle.

Pity Crawford & Mitchell chose last night to put in shockers, leaving the kid to basically go it alone.

Well, Brisbane are certainly back up and running.

Brown, Black, Sherman, Akermanis, Bradshaw, Charman, Power... They were all going hammer and tong today and it was like a throwback to 2003.

Should be a good match when they front up to a Collingwood side craving revenge next weekend.

That "time" was a couple of years ago, for mine...

Kev, no other coach availiable is any good really considering we have ZERO chance of getting Mark Harvey back to Essendon. Sheeds is the best availiable option.

Dont like Gary O'Donnell lockyno1?

Nope, not as much as Mark Harvey anyway. Gary from what I have seen just plays a negative type of footy brand and it won't cut it at AFL level!

He was defensive coach at brisbane or something wasn't he?

I still dont know why you let Mark Harvey go... he was the perfect replacement for Sheedy.

Mate I blew up big time about Harvey, but he probally figures Sheedy will be there for 5 yrs, Connolly will be there for 1 or 2 if that. He'll get the job at Freo a lot quicker than the one at Essendon. As crap as essendon are Sheedy has a win ratio of 61%!

Yeah i wouldn't have been happy about Harvey. Surely he could have waited a couple more years and then been able to be a player and coach for the team he loves.. not move to a club so he can maybe get 2 more years of coaching, and coaching a crappy team that he would not yet be emotionally attached too or know much about the players.

Maybe he just wanted to move to the WA?
