Do you have superannuation? That's your part ownership in 'big business'. You can also invest in it directly. It's a lot more affordable than starting a small business or buying real estate.

If you consider yourself one of the little people you should love big business, because that's probably the only way you'll ever afford to invest, plus it's where you're most likely to find a job.

Its not what i would like to see instead, its more about the game being rigged. For example is it fair that big business can get away with paying no tax and the avg joe paying the maximum amount.

The game is rigged 99% of poeple are in the same boat yet the 1% set the rules.

But even that isnt really the point to answer your question in the simplest of ways would be not what i would like to see instead, but what we need and what we need is real leaders.

Very few big businesses pay 'no tax'. A lot the hoo haa that appears on the news goes along the lines of Company X had a billion dollars of revenues and paid no tax. Well guess what....business pay income (i.e. profit) tax on taxable income, not on revenues. I don't think any small business would like a 30% tax to be levied on their sales, regardless of their expenses. And, to the extent that companies are owned by Australian shareholders, those shareholders get tax credits up to the level of company tax paid on the income from which dividends were appropriated.

The problem that we definitely see arises from profit shifting my multinationals (partic. the services companies but not only them), and that is a very difficult nut to crack....but one that is definitely worth trying to crack.

Are people on centre link happy? Do not blame them. I reckon most would be bored and not that excited about life. Living off $250 week wouldn't make for an exciting lifestyle.
But instead of pointing the finger at them perhaps think why they are their. It might have something to do with there family and up bringing.

Most of that 'wealth' is just meaningless numbers. It only exists on paper because it is aggregated in an asset pool. It essentially wouldn't exist if it was more equally distributed.
