Was that some way of embarrassing back into his best form?

I don't think I've ever seen a player dropped from his team by his captain.

I still think we'll see him elsewhere next year.

Brisbane could pick up an extra first rounder off a team closeish to a premiership.

Geelong could certainly make use of him.

Will almost certainly pop-up at the Swans.

Sydney would be closer than the cupless ones, although I agree that Aker would bring much needed "go up" capability to a side like Geelong.

If Everitt can't agree to terms at Hawthorn, then Sydney will give up their first pick to Hawthorn for him, otherwise the first pick will go to Brisbane for Aker.

Lock it in, Eddie!

Geelong have been known to hand over first rounders in the past for players though remember.

St Kilda could also be in the frame, they will have a spare late first rounder after picking up an early one from Carlton (Goddard)

i say it was Matthews that dropped him. Vossy announcing it would have just been a ploy to stop rumours of a rift between the two.

If it's for form and disiplinary reasons as they stated on the radio up here, it wont work, Aker is always going to be a mouth. It was either Champs or Lynchy that said it but Aker hasn't said anything different this year then he has for any previous season. This year the Lions suck so it just sounds worse.

Now the Demons enter stage left.

Seriously, I like Aker as a player, but he's old, a loose cannon, and injury prone.

Anyone who gives up a first round pick for Aker is having a lend of themselves.

Its interesting also to hear Daniher saying that his club is "cashed up" and ready to hit the player market full throttle.

Wasn't it only last year that the club drew $1.5m from competition fund?

It's amazing what those Dollarmite accounts can do these days...

So it would seem. :?

All of a sudden Melbourne is THE club that players want to be at, apparently.

Well, he was a big Demons fan as a kid, and you are cashed up to buggery, apparently.

At least Footscray and Nth Melbourne have the decency to not make noises about turning a profit.

Wonder what they would be saying if the AFL turned off the CBF tap...

I would give anything to have Aker at Windy Hill playing for the Dons but lets be frank he'll go to a club where he can possibly win premierships in the not too distant future. My tip is you will see Aker and quite possibly Everitt at the Swans next year.

As for JUDD he a champion!
