Can you give us a link and an example?I think they were released as part of book of player profiles but now they on rugby league project. A lot of them are pretty sour of players & their careers. Maybe journalists were more acerbic back in the day but you got to give credit when due.
Extremely helpful , couldn’t find anything you were referring tooNo. Just general comment about journalist who should be well known by long term NRL fans.
So right.Yeah. And why is there an 'in memoriam to queen elizabeth' banner on the rugby league project site. wtf is that garbage. This is rugby league, the working class game
They were part of his early editions of his Players book
But in later editions they were dropped as player volume increased
hasn't been the working class game since super leagueYeah. And why is there an 'in memoriam to queen elizabeth' banner on the rugby league project site. wtf is that garbage. This is rugby league, the working class game
The Alan Whiticker bio's have been on the site for over a decade. He kindly gave them to us which we saw as a good addition to a lot of the more prominent players up til that point.
I think he wrote them that way to try and ensure that his encyclopedia's didn't get too big in size.Fair enough. I regret making this topic. I've been reading Whitickers bio's since I was in primary so it's been part of my fan hood for a long time. Came to the realisation his summary of players is often quite curt. I was pretty young when I realized this too.
That's my impression of his style & not a knock on the work he's done or allowing you to use it.
