Video evidence showed the punch connected 1st on O'Neill's shoulder & then his head & Williams defence said it can't be called a King Hit.

To answer your queries:

- If you had any clue whatsoever, you would realise that the Tigers NEVER get referrees favours. We are constantly ripped off. If you would like me to outline some instances from this season, let me know. There is a long list.

Thats right Inbreed Tiger the whole world is against your Tigers. The ref never gives them a fair go. The typical whinge I am used to hearing from you.

As I said before, HE (Williams) deserves a major suspension to be handed down as it was a cheap shot.

O'Neill's high, stiff, swinging arm deserves 5 weeks IMO. The ref should have stepped in and placed O'Neill on report and given a penilty to the Storm. If the ref had not shown the Tigers BIAS, then Williams would have gone about his game and not taken to another thug as he did.

Firstly what about my other points? No comment? ;-)

Your blind hatred of the Tigers is the ONLY reason you would say that O'Neill deserves 5 weeks. Thats ridiculous.

It was a careless high tackle and at most he would have gotten 1-2 weeks. He got nothing because of his 100% spot-free judiciary record, which he has maintained over his entire career.

Oh and I see you havent thought of a new name for me. Running out of material are we? Inbreed Tiger - such a well thought insult.

The more I think about this incident the more I feel like the fact that the media will sentence Danny Williams and not the judiciary..the ref should have stopped play when Williams got hit in the tackle...blame the ref as being the result of this incident.

GO STORM !!... ;-)

What a stupid thread. Fortunately the judiciary will punish this animal in the manner he deserves. They should throw in a few weeks for the broken nose he gave Buckets six weeks ago too, when his nose kept bleeding for over a day. The bloke is a germ that should never lace on a boot in this country again..

Blaming the ref is a dumb comment, so it fits in well on this thread. Have you ever seen anyone react to a tackle like that before? No. Cheap shot by a coward. Hit someone when they're looking next time if you must.

Bye Bye Danny!!

Tallis had hold of ross's jumper.... Im sure ben didnt think Gordie wanted a kiss, at least he saw it coming.

Slaters Tackle?....well the word here is "Tackle"

Neither of them were king hit from behind without knowing by a cheap slug!

Ross was trying to leave the ruck and Tallis grabbed then threw a dozen before Ross realized. boy, it sure looked like he knew it was coming eh. With his back AND head turned looking at the ref.

Slater was lifted past horizontal. No penalty.
Slater's two tacklers BOTH dropped forearms into his head. Pure undulterated CHEAP SHOTS. No penalty. Yeah. I'm REAL sure Slater saw THAT coming when he ran up. So it's ok eh?

Both instances the innocent was hit by 'a cheap slug' as you call it. Same thing. Yet not a big deal by the Australian Captian.

In fact, something FAR worse in the Origin and nothing said. Could've smashed Billy's face to bits.

And as far as the grapple tackle, perhaps Storm invented it. Yet after all the fuss, guess who used it quite a lot? The Blues coached by whinning Gus.

Danny will pay. While others get away with murder.

Yeah. It's all very fair aint it.

Did Tallis, or the boys who made the tackle on Slater, knock either of those two players? Did they knock out either of those two players so badly they needed oxygen and a trip to the hospital?

What you don't realise is that what Williams done was not only illegal but very stupid.

I don't care who you are, you don't single out a player take 5 steps towards him wait till he runs towards the play then take him out with a shot that a boxer would of been proud of. Its just not on on the football field.

If it wasn't on the football field Williams career wouldn't be the only thing in danger, but a fair bit of jail time would be involved.

I have enjoyed several Tigers games this year laddie.

The 2 weeks, where 106 point were scored V the BIG ZERO to the Tigers were outstanding.

At least I dont go slagging off at people calling them F%$k witts, etc

Yet again, you don't argue my point, instead you just change the topic. Worming your way out of the matter because you know you're wrong.

You're pathetic, you really are. Your argumentive skills are almost as good as your loyalty - a former Wests supporter who now follows the Cowboys.

Alot of people didnt like the JV - and there are a few on this forum. (the most notable include Tigger and yappy.) But at least you can have a decent argument with them. All you do is sprout sh1t all over the shop.

Your hatred of the JV blinds your football knowledge and opinion. Should I start a list? The first is that O'Neill deserved 5 weeks for a careless high tackle.

What else can I do but laugh?

It's a farce, the Williams case being put back two weeks that is.

If you need two weeks to gather evidence about something that took 20 seconds, then geez? I don't cop that "being dazed" should be an excuse anyway, it's a bad precedent/lopphole that everyone will then use.

Do the crime, serve the time Danny.

So thats the only deciding thing to a high tackle? Whether a player goes to hospital or not? Ok. Sure.

BOTH those incidents I mentioned were equally illegal and just as stupid.

Yet no calls to suspend them for 18 weeks. Explain that.

I heard that it was the prosecutor who needed the 2 weeks to get more information not Williams' defence team.
Williams team was ready to go. As a result because the prosecution wasn't ready Williams has to serve 2 weeks anyway. This upset the Williams defence team. I think they thought he should be allowed to play until the case is heard.
Whilst I believe Williams is as guilty as hell isnt it "innocent until proven guilty"?

bugger Williams, they picked up on a loudmouthed ex league Doc's comments to the media and ran with it. The prosecution and tribunal shouldn't have to deal with time-wasting tactics like this. He is a disgrace

I don't agree - his defence picked up on Gibbs' ridiculous comments and ran with it - how could the league have expected such a stupid defence. Personally, I think they should have thrown it out (along with him), but they have decided to try and take it seriously

I think they should have got on with it and thrown it out too.
Its the League's prosecutor who should be prepared for all sorts of defences though.
They are the one's issuing the charges.
I heard on Sunday morning that Williams said he couldnt remember what happened. Surely they could work out what his defence was going to be.

The article I read (Fox Sports site?) suggested Frank Stanton sought to introduce this medical evidence, despite a guilty plea being entered. The chairman of the judiciary offered the panel the option of getting further details on this claim, and considering this incident may progress to civil procedings they sought the two week extension.

Then Franky got cranky because his tactic hadn't got Williams off! Frank had acted on his own, hence the "prosecution" being unaware of this evidence to be tendered until it actually happened. Pretty unprofessional of a club exec, justified only by his desperation to clutch at straws!

maybe, but I've lost all respect for Williams and the Storm.

If you watch the incident - he listened to the ref, played the ball, and then went after O'Neill, then he gave O'Neill a prod and presumably said something, and then nodded calmly when the ref sent him off.

I don't care whether he now has a vivid memory of it. his Melbourne Dr found no neurological/psychological effects, and they lept at Nathan Gibbs stupid comments.

And I'll say it again, if violence (irrational according to Gibbs) is a common symptom of concussion, why don't we see instances of players attacking trainers as they come to their aide... The person showing behavioural signs consistent with concussion was O'Neil after he was hit...

Rid the game of Danny Williams

Rid the game of Danny Williams

But why not Tallis who threw a dozen at an un-expecting Ross and the two NSW players who dropped forearms into Slater's head when he wasn't expecting it?

They got no supensions so Danny shouldn't.

It would stink of another Melbourne conspiracy from jelous RL involved people in Sydney otherwise.

Nathan Gibbs has been dodgy before, in 1997 he was the ARL and Manly doctor. Before the Grand Final between Manly and Newcastle he told Andrew Johns he could die if he played due to a lung injury. Alterior motive anyone?
