See, I don’t actually think Atkinson deserves it, he’s actually done nothing wrong. He’s doing exactly what’s being asked of him.
The issue is, there shouldn’t be any ask of him whilst ever our 2 halves are fit (and being picked). It’s not Atkos fault he keeps getting picked (and used for 5 mins as a tackler and nothing else). It’s squarely on Fitz for poor team selection and use of subs.

Should never have gotten to this point if we’re being honest. The fact that it has might be down to him.

I will say it’s not entirely his fault but the fact that so many players get away with the shit they dish up is how it’s gotten so bad.

Kennedy in particular at the moment doesn’t have a single player competing for his jersey so he doesn’t give a f**k if he misses important tackles or drops catches as often as he does.

Nikora - reckon he has been given a rocket. Billy Burns may replace him if he doesn’t pull his finger out.

McInnes - won’t be replaced. Should be, but won’t as he’s the captain. The captain that finds an error in the first set of lots of games. Still has a role in this team, but it should be a 20 minute stint off the bench or the first 20 at hooker before Brailey comes on.

Uele - there’s no one else. Bradbury? Tapuha?

Rudolf - doesn’t need replacing.

JC - doesn’t need replacing.

Atkinson - hoping and reckon he will be replaced for Puru. Surely Fitzgibbon cannot be that stupid.

Not too many realistic options to replace some of these plodders with unfortunately. It’ll be interesting to see if we get touched up by Melbourne what exactly happens.

However, like a good AI program, the more data gets plugged in, the learnings occur.

End the 2 utility experiment on the bench. Make an example of an offender who repeatedly has let the team down. Something. Anything. We don't need 4 rookies in there.
