Has this game run it's race ? Would the NRL be game to scrap it and be accused of being culturally insensitive ?

I do know one thing, I think that league is missing out not having some games in Feb when most league fans come out of their summer holiday hibernation.

Answer. The players seem to put in so i dont think so and no the NRL wont

Feb is hot (usually) and they do have games, this game, the NRLW starting and the usual trial games
Sometimes they throw in the odd 9's but lets face it clubs protect their best from injury anyway. Look at this weekends game
The red hot players would pull out as they do now

Dont know about this ? Good experience for the lad i suppose but too much exposure too early can be a hindrance. I suppose it chalks one more game against men that he has played !
Yes, great experience for the young man, It will do his confidence the world of good. So great to see him given that chance to represent in the indigenous side. Good luck to him. Just hope that he comes through unscathed.

Tyrel Fuimaono was solid last night, I was impressed with his game.
Josh Kerr was no different to normal being lazy and giving away penalties.
Sloane was also impressive with little opportunity, as usual it was a boring game plan from Daley, the aboriginal side had a big advantage in pace last night and all they did was play one up crap all night while the Maori side used the ball.

Several of the Warrior's players did pretty good in the Maori side. Our first NRL game this year against them will be a tough assignment. Just hope that the right team is selected for that game.

And Josh Curran from the Warriors did in the Indigenous side. He is a real goer. He was their best forward till injury then Fui was next.
Yes David Fifita got the glamour for playing in the centres with 1 barnstorming run..but that was it.

That David Fifita can barge his way through some feeble defence but when the hard work is needed for the entire game, he just doesn't put much in. I know he got winded and maybe sooked for a while but he is a big fella, as the indigenous people would say, and he was only glamorous up until he got injured.

Our first game against the Warriors is very important to get the team buoyed and build confidence for the next few games. If the Warriors bring in their defensive game and shut us out, we have got to match this and make fewer mistakes. Our bench will need to be the best.

Playing against the Eels and Bunnies in our only trial games will test our resolve and reveal our weaknesses before the competition proper.
