No point being selective by picking out a few good results.

When was the last time Celtic made it past the group stage in the Champs league?

LOL Fair enough.

How about past the first knockout stage?

Bottom line is Celtic dont even compare to any of the top 4 in the EPL, all of who have had alot of recent deep runs in the UCL including final appearances.

OK then here's an interesting stat for you.

Celtic's last 18 away games in the Champions League.

0 wins
1 draw
17 losses

I went back as far as i could (2001) and i couldn't find an away win for Celtic in the UCL. Actually i couldn't find an away win for a Scottish team!

Last season.

Beat Man United, who won both the Champions League and English Premier League that season.

Then got knocked out after losing 1 - 0 to Milan after 180 minutes of football.

Fact is, ignorant people continue to mouth of about how Celtic cant compete with Championship teams are wrong, and demonstrably so.

So, we beat them twice. Doesn't mean sh*t in the scheme of things.

Most people would say that drawing 1-1 with Liverpool at home and beating them 2 - 0 at Anfield to win a tie was a great result.

Do you understand to concept of a Cup tie?

do you understand that a draw is NOT a win??

like duh

bring the cows home

you cant say "we beat the best of the premier league" and bring in DRAWN results

idiot

Eh. At the end of the day we were a late equaliser conceded against United and a dodgy disallowed goal against Aalborg in the first game from being into the last 16. Next year.

Many Celtic fans tend to acknowledge that the SPL is pretty average standard, however if Celtic actuallly were in the EPL, with the prestige of their club, the extra money they could spend, extra ability to lure players to a better league and massive stadium they would be right up there IMO after a few years.
