Allan Langer or Andrew Johns - Which halfback achieved more?

Stat wise we were a better atatcking team, you were a better defensive team. I don't see what's untrue about it.

But your basing your whole arguement on Langer and Stuart having better sides around them ( IMO they did, and any of the Bronco and Raider premiership sides would kill any Knights side ), now you don't want get into that side of it?

I mean more so start a ten page argument about those sides.

Johns carried those Knights sides, made them as good as they were. Without him we would not have won the premierships.

Langer and Stuart did have better sides around them, they had alot more internationals etc in their sides.

But it just proves how great Johns is that he made a lesser side beat the records of those previous sides.

Your claiming opinion as fact, it's your opinion that he made those sides as good as any other side of the last 15 years.

Tell me, what happened to the Raiders when they lost Stuart in 93?

Langer definately achieved more. Broncos haven't been the same since his departure, although they looked very good in 2002 with his return.

Johns looked up to Langer as his idiol becasue he was such a small kid playing with the big boys! do you remember the 87 SOO match when he run on the field he could have passed for a primary school kid, but how much guts did he show!

You do realise what a ridiculous statement that is right? You have 'Johns' and 'Knights' splashed all over your sig and you're saying the unbiased majority would rate Johns as being better? Everybody is biased even simpleton kiwis.

But yes, I also said that I believe overall Johns would be ahead. I used the example of the New Zealand media in the Lewis/Johns thread of an unbiased opinion, as the New Zealand media is not and has no reason to be biased one way or the other, even though in our media Johns is usually proclaimed as the best in the world, the best ever etc.

But none of that really matters because we are unlikely to find many unbiased opinions on here and so arguments like these will rarely get resolved.

BTW, I haven't actually said it yet, so for the record, I do believe Johns was/is a better player and has achieved more.

And since when did the media's opinion actually matter? EVERYONE bags the media till their opinion suits them.

before this thread goes any further one must look at the halfbacks they were around at the time. did langer achieve more than all his halfbacks in his era, probably so its valid to put him in the question.
