A bold move I'll say. But it would be great to see him stick it to the yanks. I think he's given it 2 years of getting up to speed so to speak, then he'll decide on whether he'll stay.
Driving ovals might sound easy, but those NASCAR drivers are fully on the edge of out of control lap after lap for 400-500 miles at anything up to 190mph. Some tracks, 150-160mph in the turns. 3-4 G's too I believe.
I've ridden in one here in Australia at Calder Parks Thunderdome. First Super Speedway built outside the States. Awsome! Very hard to hold your neck up while in the turns and we wernt even pushing it!
Car set-up is completely different to Supercars. No electronics here either. Carb fed basic 358 V8's pushing 800 hp. Damn loud too I can tell you that having watched plenty of races in Melbourne over the years. Hurts the old ears.
Still, if anyone can crack it, Marcus can. I'm all for him kickin some yanky butt!!!
