Unfortunately Baz this is how the AMNRL site works. It can go weeks without an update, but you'd think they'd want to let the world know about their premier event.

Well Tomahawk I guess the Wildcats are now the dominant force in American RL. The king is dead, long live the king.

I would have to disagree with you about the Wildcats being as dominate as you are saying. They have only won their 3 Grand Finals by no more then 6 points each time. Every Grand final between the Bulls and Wildcats as came down to the final few minutes of the match. The Wildcats also had close matches with the Warriors and Knights this year. So they were not as dominate as you are saying.

The Cats played 5 and won 3. The Bulls have been in all 10 Grand Finals in the leagues history and have won 6 out of the 10. Both clubs have been in the Grand Final every year of their existance in the league. I think they both dominate the league equally.

They won in 2005. The Bulls are 10 years old and have 6 premierships. The last 5 years the cats have 3 and the bulls 2....playing each other in all 5. Every game has pretty much come down to the end as well. I believe the only losses these two teams have over the past 5 years is to each other. The Bulls did lose to the sharks this year, however, they were playing all the reserves to get a good look at them and see who would make the playoff roster.

The year the Knights won it they had a core of players who split off and formed the wildcats the next season - so really - two groups have won every title so far.
The good news - for many years it was a one horse race - now it is a two horse race - and this year was the most competitive so far and no doubt next year will see an even closer contest.
For instance - who doesn't think the axemen will be competitive sooner rather than later?

You are correct Roopy, and I believe the league is going to get more competive in the next few years. This year saw the first time in four years that the Bulls did not bring any players from over seas. The Wildcats had 3, and were aloud to have 3. Spinner has said that number will be even lower next year. Teams will have to depend more on teaching american athlets the game. This will make the next few years excitting.

what do you call the massive kiwi fella the bulls had at 6? he seemed to be both "new" and "foreign." The wild cats brought over Tim Gee to players/coach and Matt Pittman as a player.

Conway Maliki is married to an american woman, and has played for the fight the past 2 years before joining the bulls this season.
