I'm just about to put the mock on this guy so here goes.

He was absolutely brilliant today, he had a hand in just about every Roosters try and scored the last one himself, he's very mobile from dummy half and has a knack of putting players through holes.he's also a tough front on defender and appears to have some leadership qualitys about him.

I think we've found ourselves a doozy in this one!! ;-) lets hope so anyway. [-o<

BTW: for those of you who are scratching their heads at this post , he played premier league and we've signed him for next year.

That's all very nice and well, but with Riddell, Marsh and Morris all vying for that vacant number 9, I highly doubt Henderson will even figure in the equation.

You have to remember the Brian Smith factor here

At the moment it doesnt seem like his in the equation, i totally agree, but one thing about smith is you can NEVER pick the team his gonna stick out on the field... remeber the round 1 team this year he put out( Peterson at centre, kativeratea at wing, wagon at fiveeigth, pearson starting, dykes at half, veaeliki on the bench

I think Webster's hit 25 years old, and Smithy's just traded him in for a younger model. One injury to our firsts squad next year, and this bloke could be a regular, you never know...

Eelementary - do you SERIOUSLY think that Morris and Marsh are "vying for the number 9"?? As if Smith signed Riddell for 200K to play reserve grade!!

The Pig is our starting hooker!

And if Vella can say (on Fox footy) that PJ will be the starting number 7 then I would think it is highly likely to occur!

And if Smith said (when signing the Pig) that both Pig and Morris will start, with Morris 'most likely' at 5/8, and with the immense lack of 5/8's in this club, then I would think it is most likely that Morris will start there.

And if the Pig can only play 40-50 minutes a game, then we need a backup dummy half! Now who is that from our remaining roster?
The only option we have (without Henderson) is that Witt plays on the bench and either Morris or Marsh go to hooker when he comes on... OR Morris or Marsh play on the bench and act as the backup for Piggy. Since Morris and Marsh are too darn good to play 30-40 minutes, then I imagine we'll see 'something else'.

I don't see Henderson being selected as backup hooker all that unlikely!

I find it unlikely, next year at the least. Marsh and Morris will probably start, with Witt coming into 5'8th when Riddell comes off, and Morris moving to hooker. The thing about PJ, Witt, and Morris is that they can all play 2 positions, which means they have better utility value off the bench.

It depends on two things - the off season and PJ's neck.

Interesting to note however that when Mateo came onto the field in PL on Saturday that Witt moved into hooker a couple of times.

Yes I do. Pig will be our starting hooker, but then what? He can't play 80 minutes, and that's probably better (he is, after all, a great impact player).

Just because someone said something doesn't make it true. Did you think when we signed Vaealiki that he would be put on the bench for Muzza? I don't think so.

Morris will start out at 5/8 - until PJ is fit enough to take over. I don't think Morris will provide us with the spark we need.

Anyway, from it sounds like, Henderson is a good young player, so if he did make it into First Grade, you wouldn't hear me complaining!

He didnt look out of place in the Roosters first grade side. Unfortunately for him he was stuck behind Craig Wing and Stuart Webb who is another very good young hooker. Any lower grade Roosters players are good signings.

Given that they pick the eyes out of all the junior talent running around any chance they get your not far wrong.

The bloke just gives away too many stupid penalties, he's just not a smart top grade footballer, he cost the Roosters their first game against Penrith last year (penrith's big comeback) with back to back penalties he gave away leading to one try and then a mistake of his leading to another. He didn't play first grade again for the Roosters as far as I know. I hope he doesn't get a run in the top grade.
