Heres my indepth look at the participants in the Royal Rumble

RAW

Shelton Benjamin : Great athlete! Shelton has been very impressive since joining Raw, beating HHH twice, Flair, Orton etc. Will be a little threat but not to much.

Edge: The guy is a tremendous talent! The credentials speak for themselves, however I just cant see Edge taking it out, Shawn Michaels will be out for him and make sure he doesnt make it and personally I dont think he has what it takes to go all the way, I could be wrong but for me, Edge wont win.

Chris Jericho: A possible darkhorse at best. Jericho, I believe his time has past and thats a real shame cos he is one hell of a competitor as well as a sweet entertainer! I am a huge Jericholic but, cant see him winning it.

Christian: Captain Charisma has no chance! Enough Said :lol:

Shawn Michaels : Here's a guy that has been there, done that, can he do it again? No! Reason being, Edge will have something to do with his elimination. Otherwise, he could make the final cut possibly.

Kane: Great Rumble history, comes so close but yet so far, once again he will fall short.

The Hurricane: Put a timer on this kid ladies and gentleman :lol: :lol:

Chris Benoit: Last Year's winner, will not back it up though, the competition has picked up a lot since then and well I cant see him doing a HBK.

Simon Dean: Another chance to promote his products..... wont last long!

Jonathan Coachman: Something tells me he may last a while..... I mean most likely pull a lawler and hide under the ring... No chance though!

Viscera: Big guy, but just a mid carder. Wont last too long, Batista will prob throw him out.

Batista: WINNER!!!!! Its the man's time baby, get his shot at HHH at WM 21

Muhammad Hassan: No chance!

Ric Flair: May be there at the end but I think Batista will eliminate him, causing more friction.

Smackdown superstars havent got much hope cept 4 Eddie, Booker and Cena...

I cant bothered doin smackdown :lol:

Its gotta be between Cena and Batista - every one else can kiss thier chances good bye.
And It will be intrested to see who eliminates Muhammad Hassan, because everyone knows the guys on a role, so it could be someone that he will start a new feud with...or it will be batista or cena.

My predictions:

Jericho will elminate Hussan hence starting a fued. They have had seeral matches at house shows and have out on some good matchs so i read.

Batista will wim, further pressing his claim as the most dominate man in the WWE at the moment. Cena is the next best chance, if one of them dont win it ill deadset eat my hat, the rest you cna count out IMO

HHH will win the match V Orton, but it wont be a clear cut win, Orton will protest and possible land himself a spot at Mania for a triple threat with Tista and HHH

Batista's time has come I feel.
Odds on fav IMO.

You might be on to something there. I can't see Trips losing at Wrestlemania 2 years in a row, let alone dropping the title twice. Orton to win at the Rumble and then drop the belt to Trips at Mania :?:

Orton then gets drafted to Smackdown while Batista feuds with Trips.

As for the Rumble itself, logically it will be Batista who wins. Put your house on it. Cena will get his Mania title shot during No Mercy (or whatever Smackdown's February PPV is called).

I'll do a list of predictions once all 30 contestants are named.

Raw:
- Edge: He will probably go reasonably well, early entry-late elimination, could even be #1 or 2 but wont win it. An outside chance thou.
- Shelton Benjamin: Wont win it and wont make much of an indent, will probably be elimated by someone like Edge or Batista
- Christian: see above, a shame thou because he is an awesome wrestler
- Kane: Gene wil probably have alot to do with his elimination, cant see him being as dominate as he was in previous years
- Chris Jericho: another outside chance but there is a feel his time has past, i recon he will eliminate Hussan and that will lead to a fued with him
- Shawn Michaels: Again see edge, if they want to lead up to a Edge V HBK match at mania it will be here with edge and HBK eliminating each other
- Chris Benoit: meh he is gone, not much hope, they had him win it last year and wont have him win it this year, no story lines would match up
- Gene Snitsky: see kane
- Simon Dean: slap the timer on this bloke
- The Hurricane: see above
- Jonathan Coachman: agree with Brandon, might last a while here
- Viscera: Big guy, look for another big guy to elimate him, probably tista to further push his dominance
- Batista: my pick to win, he will come in around 13 and go all the way 8)
- Muhammad Hassan: Eliminated by jericho leading to a fued
- Ric Flair: eliminated by tista and possible for the last man eliminated

Smackdown:
- Daniel Puder: pffft what a waste, hope the coach eliminates this joker
- Booker T: will be around awhile before being a late elimination
- Charlie Haas: wont make any indent but will hang around
- Luther Reigns: id expect both her and jindrak to be entered close by and eliminated at the same time by someone like tista
- Mark Jindrak: see above
- Orlando Jordan: Hmm anyones guess what will happen with him, might stick around a while before a cheap exit
- Scotty 2 Hotty: TIME BOY keep on ya gaurd here, bushwacker teritory here
- John Cena: if tista dosnt win, he will.
- Rey Mysterio: will eliminate eddie, leading to an eddie turn
- Eddie Guerrero: see above
- Kenzo Suzuki: not sure what he will do, mid entry and reasonable quick exit IMO
- Hardcore Holly: who cares, hopefully he gets thrown out early, he shits me to tears.

Main events at mania are long build up matches, thats why it will be the evolution triangle, been building for months, and times it perfectly
a batista rumble win, followed up by a face turn a week or two after would have Tista and HHH 6 weeks to develop an already awesome fued, also you might even chuck orton in there somewhere for a Triple Threat

Maybe true, however there isn't much competition for JBL on smackdown.
He's Feuded/gonna feud with Eddie, Booker, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Undertaker.
John Cena is the only one that coudl possibly win it of him.

Cena vs Big Show was actualyl the 1st match on the card..............the main event is the last match on the card - it would be horrible if they had the Big Show vs cena for the U.S title in the Main event.
