Unless the NRL step in the circle jerk will continue. Those in power will not step down or hire their replacements. Previous attempts to gain a seat on the board have been thwarted by the old boys club. The club is infested with self interested dinosaurs patting each other on the back. Doust had Bennett fall into his lap and it was a lucky opportunity that saw us win a grand final on Doust's watch.

One of the problems imo is the same family names appearing on the board. My problem with that is it is a road block to new and talented outsiders coming in through a fair and transparent election process and of course just inviting the kids onto the board does not ensure you get the best people, Saints these days feel like a second generation family run business slowly losing touch with the customers.

Really you guys need to just pay overs to the best 4 up and coming props. Within a couple of years you will have the go forward you need.

Well the problem with that is 1 You have to have the cash 2 You have to have the salary cap space and 3 You have to be able to cheat the cap like ... Well you'd know better than me..

As I have posted before, the Leagues Club Board and the Football Club Board have had the same leaders, Danny Robinson for over twenty five years and Peter Doust for over 15 years respectively. The Leagues Club, once a leader in entertainment and facilities for its members and guests is a tired run down wreck of a casino and the Football Club is heading in the same direction, if it is not already there. The whole set up needs the cleaners put through it, Bennett got rid of a lot of the non-paying black suit, white shirt, red tie brigade and the members need to do the same with the Leagues Club and Football Club management (or non management)! Taking away our home games has been a failure (where are those bigger crowds bullshit we were fed by Doust and Smith?), Coach and player recruitment has been a failure and don't blame the previous coach or Benji! It is the muppets that sign their contracts that are to blame. Local derby against Cronulla played at Kogarah is nearly always a full house, so lets play it at Win on a Saturday evening..............say no more!

Couldn't agree more the old boys network needs to go and get some new blood who aren't there just to look after themselves and their mates. Need look no further that fat Albert junior recruitment is a joke.I've got two boys playing group 7 and some of his so called star signings wouldnt make the cut in illawarra coal league

We need honest hard, no frills forwards with mongrel. Look how Bennett changed Weighman. Look how Jeremy Smith & Costigan did the dirty work and the little 1%ers.
That's what is missing in our team.
