The difference is those other teams had more obvious talent then ours....im not saying we don't have talent we do but not in great amounts.

I think you will find Parramatta are down for one Friday night game atm vs the Drags or the Storm (???)

admittedly right now all we have is potential, but whilst we still have that i won't be giving up on the team. injuries are obviously a concern, but whilst we have hindy, cayless, morris and dykes on the park we should win more than half our games and breeze into the finals. from there we will make the grand final where the famous wagon pass to petersen shall eventuate

vaealiki was in doubt with a rib injury.....the injury tonight was a freak accident - not realated.

Am I, therefore, the subject of ridicule?

We aren't even 10 rounds into the season. We have a record thus far of 57.1% win rate [neither brilliant nor awful, considering the teams we have played], we are playing well below our bestfootball and we have injuries to key players.

Why am I not taking it too seriously? Whilst we should have won (and comfortably at that), we:

* Had our two most influential players backing up after a test match and we relied on them too much against the Sharks

* Have injuries to players we could really use (Hopkins, Vella and Cannings, to name a few)

* We are still struggling to find a solution to Mr. Lyon's brilliant decision of walking out

* We haven't played one brilliant 80 minute match there, but we will get there


I hardly think it fair to write us off after 7 rounds. Plus we are, after all, notoriously slow starters.

So chins up, keep your pride, and GO THE MIGHTY EELS!!!

And need I remind you that they beat the Raiders as well?

Are you saying that the Raiders are no chances of a Premiership because they got beaten by the Sharks?

Two years ago the Sharks were a brilliant team. They seem to be recapturing that form.

If you saw the game, you'd know that the game was riddled by now-trademark Parramatta errors and bad calls which eventually got the Sharks into the game.

I don't want to be cocky (especially because we lost), but we did enough to win and were probably the better side. We just mucked up.
