I think the starting pack is more or less chosen but not the bench.
I wonder if Smith will still be trialled in the pack.
During the Trials, I think BUrt and Hayne will share the games.
I also think Mateo and KK will also share the games in the trials at 6.
I assume he'll trial the new boys but I don't think they'll make the 1st 13 in round 1. Maybe the bench.
It will allow caylo to play in the 2nd row and possibly allow him to stay on the field longer.
I don't clearly remember but the first time when Caylo was played in the backrow he was quite good. I think it was under Smith and he had a very nice short passing game.
The 2nd time didn't work too well and the reason was not really Caylo but more the alternative props were not good enough and we then lacked the go forward upfront.
I think Caylo would be better suited to the 2nd row due to his size and will allow him to regain his offloading abilities. As a prop, he is usually the 1st or 2nd to ruck out and the opposition forwards are waiting for him and due to his smaller size, he gets dominated.
However, unless we have another prop to take over, we can only resort to Caylo as a prop.
If we had a pack, though aging

Cayless isn't a second rower.
:lol:The only time I want to see Cayless in the second row is when it is in the Ken Thornett Stand.
