Ando confirms Burt's days at fullback are gone

I am still in total disbelief that Burt actually made the tackle. In the entire time he has been at Parramatta that easily has to be the best tackle (perhaps the only) he has ever made.

Well in Chipmunk...

Hayne Fullback when available otherwise put Burt there but what if burt gets injured and hayne is on origin duty who would we put back there? Inu? Reddy?

At least now I know why Hayne looked disinterested and played like it too. He was getting booed in my section of the stand. Burt did a lot better than Hayne tonight at wing and at the back.

But if Hayne was too sick to be fullback I would have rather had Tautai or Etu in the side giving it 100%, and Hayne resting and recovering.

I'm glad to hear that Hayne has been ill, not that I am glad he was ill......, but seriously he may have made some metres but the rest of his game was crap 2nite IMO.

DA said Tigers lifted to another level in second half and we didn't go with them. As simply as that. Mentioned our young reserve props appeared alot more tired than normal in shorter period of time. Struggled to keep up with the pace and NRL level as compared to the older more experience opposition pack. Also our halves failed to make anything with our final tackle options. Very pedestrian in choices made and didn't seem to take an attacking option when needed.

It did look bizarre at the ground didnt it, and completely out of character for his performances this year.

Not surprised people booed him. We have some f**king idiots that go to our games.

Seriously though, he looked terrible out there. Especially in the 2nd half. He was copping abuse in my bay!

As below par as Hayne was tonight, He still made 170 odd metres from 14 runs, and 7 tackle busts, We could only dream of Etu and Tautai doing that as a combined effort.

btw rest Hayne for what, State of origin? ;-)

I'm not really a stats man. At the ground you can see if a players contributions actually matter, or form part of a cohesive team effort.

If Hayne was sick he shouldn't have been out there. I'm not sure he cost us any points, but I would have rather had Etu or tautai in the backs instead tonight.

They announce Hayne had made the origin team during the game, and he got booed in my section - that's how disinterested in teh game he looked tonight, despite the stats.

You could tell though, he did make a couple of decent runs, mainly in the first half, and looked ratsh*t afterwards.

I think the reason he played is that Hayne is coming around to the truth - that if he doesn't play the others don't try.

Once he was moved to the wing we saw that in the second half.

Bunch of inbreds booing him.

yeah it's a bit stupid booing the guy for one bad performance and that is on the understanding that they didn't know he was crook. It's the kind of thing that would put potential players off coming here. Because there aren't many other teams in the comp that have their fans turn on them like we do

Some people must be coming around to the truth.

he has picked his act up ten fold. Cut him some slack HJ. Remember I was one whom like you bagged him as a player and person re his attitude and performances but he has turned it around. Off night last night because he was ill. Afterall he is human.

The whole team mentality and tactics in attack is our problem. If we looked to play with more creativity then Hayne could play in the centres and have a huge impact but he has to be closer because no one is creating any attack at the ruck.
