People on here were calling for the club to sign Addo Carr who’s older than Sami.

Will he be blocking the pathway of youngsters coming through?
From what I’ve read on here from posters who watch a lot of NSW cup etc there are some possibilities coming through but still a fair way off nrl

(If) Sami has signed then whilst it's a bit of a non-event signing, I can see the logic in it.
Out of our current backs:
Sloan - probably won't be re-signed
Lawson - probably won't be re-signed
Feagai - probably won't be re-signed

There's 3 that have to be replaced. Add:
Tuipulotu - hammy issues
Fale - still young only 1 game in NRL
Buchanan - young, limited 1st grade experience, just re--signed
Suli - hot and cold
Tu - late bloomer, limited 1st grade experience
Holmes - class player, but out of form

Reserve grade have a few:
Heidke - injuries seem to plague him
TPH - very small but courageous
TRumble - has ability but very far off

Probably a couple I've missed, but the picture isn't good and yes we let go some good ones.

So Sami, with his experience seems reasonable in context to the above.
Stats: career
145 games 71 tries (almost 50%)
10 try assists
79 linebreaks
84% tackle efficiency (not liking this)
143 Ave running metres
Stats: this season
3 games 0 tries
0 try assists
10 tackle breaks 1 linebreak
82% tackle efficiency (not liking this)】
156 Ave running metres (ok)

Born in 97, so 32 in 2029. Better than what we have as has some speed, but feels a little like another player who has his best football behind him rather than ahead of him. Will be watching him closely this evening
He will look a million bucks against us.
It does not necessarily follow that he is worth a million bucks.

Parra game
2nd half

The few plays in the second half where Gutho ran left to (two on one in attack) to isolate CT to go round his opposing winger who had to commit on Gutho……..Sami and or equivalent speed scores

for me Sami is an upgrade albeit not Dom Young or Daddy Warbicks level but an upgrade with a player that can play left or right wings and centre also

Agree Issako is a strong recruit

going with the concern on this forum with age Samis age would that be concern re Issako ?

or is he a walk up start despite his age?

121m vs tries 6
171m vs tries 11
176m vs tries 5
180m vs tries 15

Anderson getting easy money for not doing a lot...much like the rest of the bludgers in the football department...Its all well and good for Watsford to talk about changing the organisation and front office, but that means nothing without winning football matches. Same as the CoE..means nothing if you can't win matches.

Something that baffles me: Why did we let Savelio Tamale and Sione Finau go to the Raiders and then buy David Fale and Setu Tu? It would seem to me the two we had, showed far more potential upside. Now we buy Phil Sami? I'd like to hear an explanation for this as I can't see the rationale.
My guess is they just didn't want to stay because they didn't see much first grade.
Then we got Tu and Fale as we needed replacements.

Sami, is a start, most likely Sloan and CT won't be re signed for 2027 .
We will need to sign another winger, a starter.
Need a fullback first, watch us not sign anyone and be left with Gutho and a NSW cup winger. for 27.

Thanks Flntstone. It saddens me. I think if we kept those 2 they would be walk up starts on our wings at the present.

Well Tamale did state he wants a fair crack or he is going
Always said if Lomax stays he goes
No one game him a start
