He deserves his own thread.

Finally asking the hard questions and making bold statements!

What about Matty and Fatty getting offended by what he was saying to Finch.

They are the questions we want answered.

I really hope management of the footy show dont get up him and tell him not to ask the tough questions.

I actually think he`s a bit over the top, and makes bold statements just for the sake of conflicting with the other two.

For example he questions Matty Johns about talking up the Rabbitohs, cos it`s too early in the season, but then goes on himself to write off Manly`s season, even talking about the wooden spoon.

I like the fact that he keeps the show on topic, but he is acting a bit forceful and defensive.

He put the heat on Finch when he came on for an interview. Finch repeated the same lines over and over about how he left on good terms with Ando and how Parra are a great bunch of blokes and how it was the best for both parties. But Voss said from the fans point of view you might have let them down as they expected he was the halfback for the season.

But judging by the Parra's fans reaction to his sudden exit, I doubt that they are feeling 'let down' though. I read their forum from time to time and I gather the feeling is like a big weight lifted off the shoulders.

Agree, the questions in regards to letting down the sponsors (in particular) and the fans were IMO better asked of the club reps - not him.

His comments on Manly were laughable given the fact he picked them this round whilst all the time talking them down also....

That must be his role - to create a bit of controversy...

Matty Johns is riddled with splinters given all the fence sitting he does. He's an absolute bore.

So good on Vossy for having the balls to ask a few hard questions and create abit of interesting television.

he is really pulling my opinion of him down with his work on the thursday footy show, i respect that he is trying to ask the hard questions and keeping the footy show on footy, but he always seems to go out of his way to be an antagonist and as a comedian he makes a excllent football commentator

Vossy was excellent on the show last night. The Footy Show has really improved since the dark days of Daredevil Dudes. If they can keep the show on the same track it was on last night you are guaranteed to get better ratings.

Only thing that got me was the announcement Keno were give away $1,000,000 to some lucky person later in the year. My first thoughts were BS.

Need more people like Voss on the show and less of M Johns. Johns is a fence sitter, doesnt ask the hard questions and sucks up to every guest on the show.

Voss is an over stating, bleeding hearted idiot. He is opinionated and his opinions over power his journalistic duty of an objective view.

I get a bit sick of these gutless 'fence sitters'. They might as well nominate themselves and run for politics.

MG might be a boofhead from Mt Druitt, but at least he has the bottle to express his opinion without fear of offending the minority groups. No surprise that MG's career is going ahead in leaps and bounds while the fence sitters wait to get the chop at any given time.

You've got to keep in mind that the producers probably told him what questions to ask, and because he's the new boy he has to ask the hard questions and offend the players. But I agree, it was good to hear the tough questions asked instead of the regular:

Q: Did you leave on good terms
A: Yes

Q: Was it your decision to leave
A: Yes

Q: Did the coach tell you you weren't in his future plans
A: (In last night's case) Yes

Q: Super League or NRL?
A: (In last night's case) NRL

Q: Did you talk to your teammates
A: Some of them

Voss must be a good thing simply by the ammount of conversation he has bought to this forum, we have very different views with some liking and some loathing his approach.

The footy show is a variety show first and foremost, the only reason it is called the footy show is due to the fact that all the hosts are ex players or coaches. Sunday morning and foxsports are the places for real football fans.

Voss is perfect for the show and should be host.

Actually I'd like to see Andrew Denton host next year with Voss, Webcke (get out of your ch 7 deal), Girdler and a different current player each week.

I like the mix he brings to panel but at the same time he's a bit of a camera hog, it seems that when others are talking, instead of listening, he's looking for another chance to jump in with some of his expert observations.
