But if he does, it would be pig ignorant to cut him loose early. He has a paramount role to play for Souths in 2018 and I for one want him with us.

True, if Souths realise that they will be unable to retain Angus beyond 2018 they need to keep up the pretence that he will re-sign through next season while they are actually negotiating other options.

Source? Obviously that's not good to hear but Gus has said it's not about money for him.

I still don't think he'll decide until mid next year, he'll want to see how things go with us.

I just so hope he doesn't go, we've invested a lot in him and he will be the best second rower in the comp soon. I think he's a future Souths caption if he stays too.
