If Angus does decide to sign with the roosters Souths should start being smart and planning long term. We should propose a player swap for 2018 and go hard for Mitchell or even Nat Butcher. If they decline then we should be putting Crichton at Norths for 2018. I don’t hate Crichton but this game is a business and we need to start playing the game. Bellamy barely played Tohu Harris last season because of a mysterious foot injury. But we all know he wanted to groom other players for future seasons without him. He then brought Harris back for the finals when they really needed him. We should be doing the same with Crichton.

I definitely think there is. By continuing to play him in first grade we are only continuing his development as a player. I know it’s harsh on him as a person but if he does sign with the roosters we shouldn’t be helping with his development. All it does is strengthen their side and leave a massive hole in ours when he leaves. I understand your concern for Butcher but let me tell you he was our best junior when we swapped him for Crichton. He could be just as good as Crichton or even better. Mitchell would bolster our backline significantly too. So I’d take either but would obviously prefer Mitchell. I don’t want an ageing player like cordner.

My view , there are 17 players against 17 players.......if Souths have their best 17 fit and injury free by end of season .........YES they can win the premiership.

That is how i follow and support the team.

As for 2016/2017 , you blame the players and coach. I blame injuries to key players at key times .
