Perth by your own admission is a viable alternative. The NRL is after looking after itself the interests of potential clubs the international game etc don’t even come in to it.

Im surprised no1s figured it out yet....there are not enough quality players to go around, i dont see many really good juniors coming through like say 10 years ago, 1 or 2 new teams will break the nrls back and water down the quality of matches

I just don’t believe that and even if it is true it’s a self fulfilling prophesy. Do you think there’s more AFL talent being produced in Sydney than before they had two sides in the comp?
Expansion will create new talent, but sure it’s going to have a lead time.
I think people mistake lack of talent for the boring style of rugby played in the NRL.

If mr butcher hasnt figured out by now that there is no chance at the rorters who do not bring players through the grades that he has made a monumental blunder going there . Then he isnt worth worrying about...if he had stayed he would be playing 1st grade now
