Another thing i have notice getting into slater's game lately when he catches the ball in the air, he catches it with his feet outwards towards the running defenders, which could end up as dangerous as he slides with his feet on the ground.

I did notice this on Wednesday night...He basically did a flying side kick towards the opposition as he was up catching the ball.

This Year?

Another dangerous tactic I've noticed lately:

Last night Anthony Watmough ran pretty hard when he got the ball. Now I can see why he does it, but in the modern era where the emphasis is on safety, surely this tactic which could hurt the opposition and possible even injure them will be reviewed by the NRL?

I'd say that part of the reason is to encourage defenders to slow down so when the fullbacks toe hits the ground he doesn't get steamrolled at full pace.

This is one of my pet hates at the moment. When the fullback takes a bomb and then gets steamrolled by a chasing defender and the commentators call it a "brut big hit". Really annoys me.

Slater again showing how much of a grub he is, sliding in with the knees. how the hell do they keep allowing him to get away with it.

Mate, stopping it is the wrong idea.
Just let the attacking players do whatever they can do grab the ball.
This way there's 2 positives:
We still get to see Slater leap
We get to see him injured abit more

Raise the knees, ok.
Keeping the legs straight, ok.
Promoting the feet in a studs first manner = should make the person jumping for the ball fair game, particularly slater who in the past has exhibited his desire to go in studs first at people, leading me to believe that everytime from then on his decision to place them outward is not a reflex nor is it an accident.
